  • A mandala is a symmetrical image, with shapes emerging from a center….any ritualistic geometric design, symbolic of the universe, used as an aid to meditation. This image inspired by the stunning work of Julia Wright ....check out her work it is truely beautiful!

  • To me there are few things more beautiful than prayer flags fluttering in / the wind. / Prayer flags are not just pretty pieces of colored cloth with funny writing on them. The ancient Buddhist prayers, mantras and powerful symbols displayed on them produce a spiritual vibration that is activated and carried by the wind across the countryside. All beings that are touched by the wind are uplifted and a little happier. The silent prayers are blessings spoken on the breath of nature. Just as a drop of water can permeate the ocean, prayers dissolved in the wind extend to fill all of space….

  • This is another abstract of some crystals with glass…..hope you enjoy…. Division of Light The One Light cannot be divided, but extensions of the One Light can appear to divide it. The spots of sunlight upon the cathedral floor are many, but they are all / extensions of the one light of their source in the sun. Likewise ALL mankind is an extension of the One Idea of man for man is but One in the Light of his Source. -Walter Russell / / ____ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. • I started with a pastel mandala painting that I wasn’t happy with, played with it, stretched it, colored it differently, added some textures. While I was working this afternoon on the finishing touches on this one, I was listening to ‘The Be Good Tanyas’ on my iPod and this song came on. A Thousand Tiny Pieces What a perfect title! And the lyrics fit my mood today, philosophical, appreciating life, remembering some beautiful fall hikes with a special man…...... things certainly do keep changing…...... Let’s play this one out, until it explodes / Into a thousand tiny pieces / What’s the story universe / You are melody in numbers / You were shapes you were rhythms / There are signs that we can learn / Place over the heavens / To predict how long we’ll burn / How long will I last? / Can you turn up the heat? / What star am I circling? / What’s circling me? / Am I ebb, am I flow? / My lack of control / Turn it on, turn it up / Say yes, play no Things keep changing / Things keep changing / Things keep changing

  • Halloween, Samhain, All Hallows Eve, Shadowfest, Ancestor Night. Samhain (SOW-in or SAV-ayn) marked the beginning of the old Celtic new year, and many Celtic Pagans still observe Samhain as the renewal of the Wheel of the Year. This was the night that the old God died, returning to the Land of the Dead to await rebirth at Yule, and a time when the Crone Goddess would go into mourning for her lost son/consort, leaving her people in temporary darkness. As in days long past, Celtic Pagans believe that the veil between the world of the living and that of the dead is at its thinnest on this night, and that the spirits of our departed loved ones walk the earth, visit family and friends, and join in the ritual celebrations. This makes Samhain a prime night for any type of spirit contact rituals. The feeding of the dead is a widespread practice, even in modern Celtic lands. In Brittany and Ireland food is always left out for these spirit travelers, and candles are placed in windows to guide them along their way, and these were the origins of the modern Halloween customs of the jack o’lantern and trick-or-treat. A little mood music for you tonight. I created this kaliedoscope from a poor photograph of an almost full moon peeking through the clouds. I never discard my photographs, even when they don’t work as that! Blessed Be my friends. :o) XO / Jenny

  • This kaliedoscope/mandala was created using a simple Apophysis fractal. I changed the colors, cut it up, pasted it up, used a few effects in PSP, painted a background, then smeared it all around…... I LOVE creative play! This reminds me of crisp fall days when people raked up their leaves and burned them. The smells of the musty, damp leaves, the smoke, the sound of the leaves rustling with the rakes. 10/09

  • Apophysis 2.08 with postwork in PSP There is no limit, all of my desires, anything I can think of, all that I wish to be part of my life, this physical experience – it’s all staged and ready for me. All I must do is allow it. Open my heart to it and let it flow into me. I have wished for it, I have said ‘what if’? And I have responded ‘yes!’ The expansive feeling, the feeling of relief, the wide open heart, that’s all it takes. And it can be done every single time I ask. Joy and life has no bounds, the sky has no bounds, there are no limits.

  • ‘The Ice Maiden, a Norse myth, tells the story of Gerda, a frost goddess whose beauty enchanted Freyr, god of sunshine and rain. But Gerda refused to meet the god until Freyr’s servant threatened to put an unbreakable spell on her. Freyr, however, was able to thaw her heart. The music is brought full circle to reflect Gerda’s serenity when she comes to love her new husband.’ from Michele de Wilton A kaliedoscope made from a photograph of ice and snow crystals on a blue spruce next to my deck.
