This one was the model’s idea as well. We went through several bottles of blue paint. There are actually three girls here, with two of them in black standing behind. Ourselves not actually being Hindu, we had to do some research to find that Shiva actually appears in both male and female forms.
The Black Goddess and Wife of the Destroyer. / / / /
The Morrigan, ancient goddess of the land, of fertility and death, became associated in more modern times with war. In triple aspect she was accompanied by Nemain (Frenzy), Macha or Badbh (Battle Crow). In her war aspect she appeared over the battlefield, inciting the warriors to become crazy with war-lust, and thus, causing their own demise. The Morrigan was not death herself, she was the harbinger of death, and so the Ban-Shee or the Washer at the Ford, became associated with her. She is the Kali of the Irish pantheon, the Dark Mother to whom we must respect deeply. Some of her symbols are the hooded crow, hawthorne, blackthorne, apple, spirals, night, twilight, autumn, earth, dark places, and the colors: red, black, and white. The Morrigan, represents the dark aspect that we all experience and possess. Everything emerges from the dark, the child from the womb, the day from night, and The Morrigan’s power exists within this place of potentiality. We also end the cycle by returning to the dark, day gives way to night, our bodies return to the earth, and so The Morrigan blesses us by releasing us from her realm and calls us back when it is time. The dark aspect is not something to be feared, for to fear the dark, is to be afraid of our own nature. It is to be understood as part of a natural cycle of rise and fall, expanding and contracting, reaching out and turning inward, etc. The Morrigan offers us a way to understand and navigate the dark paths throughout our life, if only we overcome our fears and reach out to accept the “fruit” of knowledge she offers us. “The dark night of the soul” is a description for a phase during the ascension process of the soul which basically feels like being torn apart by wild beasts. / Depression and the feeling of being totally lost is common. / This is the journey to the underworld where all illusions have to be laid of for us to return to the upper worlds again. Kali-Persephone is the one to help you with this and therefor she is feared by those who don’t want to let go. / But if you dare to take a closer look, you will recognize her beauty and the gifts she has to offer you! my blog: Kabai33
/ MCN: MCN:C172A-42E72-ECC79 this image is about Sara la Kali, Sara the Black, Saint Sarah, the patron saint of the gypsies. every year in may there is a procession where Sara la Kali is carried out into the sea to re-enact her arrival in france. there are of course various legends about her, the one shown here is the following one: Another account has Sarah welcoming the Three Marys into Gaul. Franz de Ville (1956) writes: One of our people who received the first Revelation was Sara the Kali. She was of noble birth and was chief of her tribe on the banks of the Rhône. She knew the secrets that had been transmitted to her… The Rom at that period practiced a polytheistic religion, and once a year they took out on their shoulders the statue of Ishtari (Astarte) and went into the sea to receive benediction there. One day Sara had visions which informed her that the Saints who had been present at the death of Jesus would come, and that she must help them. Sara saw them arrive in a boat. The sea was rough, and the boat threatened to founder. Mary Salome threw her cloak on the waves and, using it as a raft, Sarah floated towards the Saints and helped them reach land by praying. / for more info please follow this link in front you can see Sara la Kali. to the left of her, is the boat carrying the three marys in the storm, approaching the french coast, to the place which later will be called ´Les Saintes Maries de la Mer`. this lies in the Camargue region, represented by the barren tree, and the flamingo flying over Sara. the angel is the symbol of the vision Sara had.
Kaly along with her brother Simon was dumped by some low life, when they couldn’t have been even 6 weeks old. I had trouble getting them to even eat. My husband and I have 7 cats ,all of which were just dumped out in the country where we live. Kaly & Simon are the newest of the bunch and have turned out to be not only beautiful but a pure joy. A very kind neighbor promised me that if we would take care of them that he would pay to have them both fixed, and he did. It cost a lot to take care of and feed 7 cats good quality food. They both had a rough start but are very safe ,loved and happy with us. Their best friend is Isaac our dog that was another rescue.
