  • this shot was taken in westminster hall england, where edward1 of that country held the farcical trial of sir william wallace. england considered wallace an outlaw and so was given no rights ,no lawyer, and could not even speak on his own behalf. wallaces fate was assured long before he was taken to england.edward who created the barrister system still used today did not give sir william a barrister to speak and the trial was a complete farce and mockery wallace only managed to speak once when he roared the famous lines i can not be a traitor, for i owe him no allegiance. he is not my sovereign;he never recieved my homage;and while i have life in this persecuted body,he shall never recieve it! wallace was immediatley dragged by two horses 4 miles to smithfield where he was hanged but not yet dead.while still alive his intestines were removed and burned before him after more torture he was beheaded and his body quartered and sent to 4 parts o scotland as a warning. / what has this got to do with my shot. well in 2005 the anniversary of his murder 300 of us went to london starting at westminster where this was taken, there is a plack on the floor where wallace stood and the window behind me was exactly as it was in wallaces day its what he would have been looking at as the farce unfolded in front of him. you will see i had a large hand and a half sword on, many of the guys did ..no one has been allowed to were weapons in there but there was not enough folk tae stop us as the press were there and no one from westminster wanted a stushie! ..we walked the four miles fully armed tae smithfield where he was butchered and had a celtic celebration of his life, got tae say london was a bit shocked there is a wee church just next tae smithfield that was there in wallaces day and they must have watched whit wis goin on when he was murdered. in the church there was a coffin where people could put in something that ment a lot to them about wallace and scotland the coffin was returned tae scotland and buried in lanark…it was quite a day

  • BETTER VIEWED LARGER Support the towns effected by the Black Saturday Victorian bushfire , Yack and other town such as Beechworth need tourists. Once threatened by the fires but thankfully saved these towns rely on tourist trade , so get out and support these towns and surrounds by visiting, staying enjoying Beechworth Court House – Ford St / House Built in 1853 at a cost of 3,730 pounds, this court house saw many historic trials including those of Ned Kelly and mother Ellen. Beechworth is Australia’s best preserved gold town. All four members of the Kelly Gang spent some time in Beechworth Gaol, Ned for a total of two years. Ned appeared in the Beechworth Courthouse on August 6 1880 on a charge of murder. He was committed to stand trial here before returning to Melbourne for his Supreme Court trial and subsequent hanging. Ned’s mother Ellen also appeared in the Beechworth Court, in 1878, and was held in the Beechworth Gaol for a short time before being taken to Melbourne to complete her sentence. The Courthouse is just one of a number of remarkable 19th century buildings making up the Beechworth Historic and Cultural Precinct, which provides a fascinating insight into life during the gold rush and Ned Kelly era. You can visit many of Ned’s former haunts by following the Golden Mile walking trail. • ( This is my first voyage into this card; most probably, I´ll come back soon with a “card” version). The Fool or The Jester is one of the 78 cards in a Tarot deck. It is one of the 22 Trump cards that make up the Major Arcana. The Fool is often numbered 0. / Somehow, I liked this “meaning” or interpretation for this card when recollecting information regarding it: “At #0, the Fool is the card of infinite possibilities. ( ...) indicates that he has all he needs to do or be anything he wants, he has only to stop and unpack. He is on his way to a brand new beginning. But the card carries a little bark of warning as well. Stop daydreaming and fantasizing and watch your step, lest you fall and end up looking the fool.”

  • Featured in the “Image Writing Group” on 7-9-09. RoseArt colored pencils. Typography, Corel Painter. Inspired by Egyptian mythology. An homage to truth. I’ve heard it said that truth hurts. I don’t happen to believe that. In ancient Egyptian lore Ma’at (ma’ yat) was the Goddess of truth, justice and reality. She was depicted in hieroglyphics wearing a crown adorned with a single ostrich feather. Ma’at symbolized the balance between the contrasts in Egyptian life; between Upper and Lower Egypt, between the fertile valley and the desert, and between good and evil. She was the basis of Egyptian civilization and Egyptian strength. Ma’at was said to reign when the kingdom was unified and when men were peaceful and content with their lot, performing their duties of righteous conduct as laid down in the divine order. The gods themselves lived by Ma’at for without Ma’at creation could not be sustained and the divine design was thwarted. /
