Approaching the pond, I was in awe at the beauty of these water lillys. The contrast of orange and purple hues just jump out. So then I spotted a small bee inside of one, and said THAT is the shot! At the center of this water lilly was what looked like a faery crown. I hope you enjoy the visual magic and little bit of fantasy that inspired the title. My creative soul was originally inspired by reading books like JRR Tolkeins Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. These fueled my minds eye and magic for nature. / / This shot is the center of this water lilly: http://zenakita.deviantart.com/art/Meant-to-BEE-125814806 @@PHOTO DETAILS: / Photo shot in raw using my Canon 40D. During a trip to the Sydney Museum today we caught glimpse of some wonderfully weird creatures.. Caudipteryx zouil from China Caudipteryx (which means “tail feather”) is a genus of peacock-sized theropod dinosaurs that lived in the Aptian age of the early Cretaceous Period (about 124.6 million years ago). They were feathered and remarkably birdlike in their overall appearance.[1] Two species have been described; C. zoui (the type species), in 1998,[1] and C. dongi, in 2000.[2] Caudipteryx fossils were first discovered in the Yixian Formation of the Sihetun area of Liaoning Province, northeastern China in 1997. read more about it here
Skeletons at the Sydney Museum.. I find this one to reveal a witty humor of the person who constructed it :0)
