These guy’s have been let loose in South Florida and done quite well in the wild. In fact, they have their own Society! Green Iguana Society Leica V-Lux 1. Handheld.

It happened that a Dog had got a piece of meat and was carrying it home in his mouth to eat it in peace. Now on his way home he had to cross a plank lying across a running brook. As he crossed, he looked down and saw his own shadow reflected in the water beneath. Thinking it was another dog with another piece of meat, he made up his mind to have that also. So he made a snap at the shadow in the water, but as he opened his mouth the piece of meat fell out, dropped into the water and was never seen more. Beware lest you lose the substance by grasping at the shadow

My dog, Juno, had snowballs all over his body, frozen into his fur, when we went for his walk to day, but he didn’t care. I had to thaw him out in the bathtub but he loved that, too. Weirdo. lol

This was one of the first shots I took using my new Canon EOS 50D! I still have alot to learn, but I am enjoying the process. Some research has led me to discover many interesting origins of the Easter Lily – here is one: Roman mythology connects the lily to the queen of the gods known as Juno. While Juno was feeding her son (Hercules), milk fell from the sky. Most of the milk stayed in the sky – creating the Milky Way- the remaining milk fell to the ground creating lilies.

Hera is the queek of the greek gods married to the unfaithful Zues, Hera is the saviour of Jason and the tormenter of Hercules Often she id represented as no more that a Peacocks Feather as she gave the bird its tail but she is also the goddess of the milky way eagles and all creatures with shells are linked to her as are the flowers lillys poppys and white roses. Some of you may notic a mistake in the border and such deliberate flaws are part of my work as most cultures were the symbols and designs that make up my work derive from belived that only the gods themselve were perfect so all mortal things could not be hence the mistakes.

Juno, whose favorite the Peacock was, granted these feathers to him one day when he begged her for a train of feathers to distinguish him from the other birds. Then, decked out in his finery, gleaming with emerald, gold, purple and azure, he strutted proudly among the birds. All regarded him with envy.
