This was an illustration I did while in college for a class. It was one of my first works were I used my technique of watercolor base and then color pencil on illustration board. It was based on a scene from the book “Cotton Comes to Harlem.”

mixed media experiment. / watercolour/watercolour pencil on junkmail I found a whole stack of catalogues that somebody had dumped in the mangroves.They’d been there quite some time..obviously somebody was meant to deliver it but couldn’t be bothered…so I just thought I’d experiment with it.. The “creature” is some kind of newly sprouted plant scattered all over the beach. /
