The subject of Secrets of Paradise… is the guide of the soul who in Jungian terms is called the anima. She is the angel, the heroine, the goddess who shines through the psychological darkness like a bright sky beckoning the beholder to follow their dream, risk the passage, and at all costs continue the quest. The adorning Peacock feather is symbolic of royalty and potency. In alchemy the peacock is cousin to the Phoenix, the mythical bird who rises from the ashes. The central theme of the image is the feminine eye, focused, a visionary awareness that resides in the human psyche; the third eye. Photography based mixed medium processed image.

The centre butterflies symbolize the soul growing and transforming and protected by unicorns (symbolizing magic, innocence and myth). Guardian angels watch over the transformation night and day. This is just one of my many mandalas. They are created from meditation and often paint themselves – I just wield the brush! ORIGINAL $300 plus postage and handling This mandala was created after a big breathwork meditation in which I felt the spirits of my grandmothers and greatgrandmothers all the way back to prehistory reach out to me. It was a time of crisis for me and to feel the essence of my maternal history with me, I was able to pass through and come out the other side relatively whole. The mandala symbolizes the presence of my foremothers all the way back to prehistory. The horses symbolize power and freedom. The all seeing eye is open to the wisdom of the past and the challenges and opportunities of the future. The colours are the colours of the earth, the sky, the wind and the rain. The graffiti on this tree has many images. Feel free to project what you see and or tell a story about what you view in this piece. What caught my eye was the image of a woman on the top right that appears to have an eye and part of her face taped representing the unspoken view of woman around the world who are subjugated to the power of others. Jungian analysts Linda Leonard and Marion Woodman have written many books to elucidate the bonded female and mad woman archetype using mythology, archetypes and fairy tales. The image of the madwoman appears frequently in women’s dreams, according to Leonard ( The Wounded Women: Healing the Father and Daughter Relationship ). She makes a good case that the madwoman is a messenger, metaphor and model who points the way to women’s liberation. The author encourages women to acknowledge their own madwoman in order to transform themselves. She intriguingly redefines many female stereotypes-The Dark Muse, The Recluse, The Bag Lady, The Visionary, The Caged Bird-in relation to her archetype. What is especially interesting here are the examples from famous women, literature, films and Leonard’s own patients. The most remarkable include Camille Claudel, Alma Mahler, Maria Callas, Rosa Luxemburg and Rachel Carson—as well as the imaginary Medea, Mrs. Bridges, Blue Angel and Thelma and Louise. Leonard also shows how some of the real women she writes about were influenced by the fictional or mythical women. In this work, she provides a new perspective on how women can break out of culturally imposed roles. Leonard uses more examples than theorizing to make complex Jungian concepts understandable, accounting for her readability and popularity.

Hilman lecturing… feel his voice and so… then… I jumped over Y.T. and alás…. here he was…imposing, afable, intelligent, clear… perfect gait for his age… composed character…. as I had expected.. / Who is he?... well.. for the lovers of the Jungian concept of world and soul… for the lovers of all that is concerned about myths and the quality of these for development of humankind…..of tools for created a real inner world, of having clues for healing our body and soul infirmmities…..he is.. THE ONE I invite you… in case you are such a lover or curiosity has biten you the intelect….to get into the video clip and enjoy each one of his words.. with full understanding. Prepare to see that we are not distanced from the mythical resources of the Universal Soul…... and that we just try to disregard these …resources of Life with something like boastful superiority…. / Prepare to see and feel how these old stories are the stories of daily life…. and that they served for purposes… intended in the Greek times and now… they are there posing in our development. / I must say that I will have to get through the video twice or even three times… in order to get the full discourse….. not loosing any moment…. there are applause and merriment… but specially there is a tremendous respect and awe in the audience.
