Newtown the Brave is a Teeshirt for all people who love living in the inner city of Sydney or indeed the innercity of anywhere. The goths and the schoolies and the grannies and the punks and the professionals who all live in the wonderful suburb of Newtown in Sydney. Oi Newtown rules OK. If anyone wants one of these tees with the name of their own town on it then just bmail me and it shall be done. . /
this is an entry to the Flash Fiction and Tee Shirt Revolutioon design challege. The brief is to make a tee shirt design based on an existing story in the Flash Fiction gallery. My design is based on a short but pithy story by Rex Inkpen called ‘define weird’...... as soon as I read the first line of this wonderful tight little vingette I had the idea for the tee shirt…. hope it makes sense to you guys…. enjoy ….. oh and really… take it up to large view to really see the story…... it’s worth the effort….promise….:)
A day or so ago I made a tee shirt based on a short story for a challenge in the flash fiction group and it is called define weird well this attempt at illustrating a bit of writing has inspired another writer to ask me to do one for them…. and here it is….....batter for the soul is the name of the very very short story by PJ Ryan that this tee shirt illustrates. a short and yummy meditation on the lure of cake. mmmmm yummy cake.
having a day in due to the persistant heavy rain and seriously wintery weather…. and what better way to spend the day than to make a few new tee shirt designs…. this is a very famous face… so famous I probably don’t need to tell you who it is…..
another version of the mona tee I just uploaded…. stripped of all colour except in her eyes…. and it’s the eyes were all that mystery lies so it seems right
another rainy day another odd teeshirt…. this one is for a challenge in the Tee shirt Revolution Group. so love a bug today…. they need all the loveing they can get….. :)
since it looks like the rain around here seems to have set in for the durataion… I’ve been amusing myself making some tee shirt designs… this one is a collaboration between myself and Rex Inkpen and it’s based on his very fine short story The Rollicking Night and it’s for a Skullduggery challenge collaboration between the Flash Fiction group and the Tee Shirt Revolution group. What I really like about Rex’s story is the ambigous time frame that it’s set in…. the smokey taven where the action happens could be contemporary or it could be set five hundred years ago so I though this very old classical pencil sketch was the perfect vechicle for dressing up with a pair of mirrored sunglasses…. what you see in life is often ambigous and not what it seems to be at first glance….. so here is a contemporary take on the skullduggery of the uber cool mirrored sunnies and what may or may not be found behind them….
got into a conversation with the hugely talented Lawford about a little written peice called seven deadly sins that he had posted and he kind of challenged me to do a tee shirt version…. and since that’s what I’ve been doing all day…. that’s just what I did….. 7 deadly sins… wear it with pride…..:)
just a few words on a tee shirt inspired by the typography mini challenge three things cannot be long hidden the sun the moon and truth budda
the traditional owners of Ularu are asking for tourists and others to refrain from walking on the rock as it is to them a great spiritual site and consider it to be the same as a cathedral. I personally have no problems with that and think we should take it a bit further…. to the moon in fact…. the moon the moon the beautiful moon… is also a spiritual site to many … so maybe it’s time for there to be a few No Moonwalking signs express posted up there….
a little space themed bit of whimsy to commemorate something mavellous that happened 40 years ago today…..
a week or so ago our great goddess of tee shirt goodness Natalie Tyler contacted me about one of the slide projection images I’d posted wanting to know if she could have a little fiddle about with it…. sure thing honey I say…. and today I recieved the Natifyed version of the image… and it looks AWEsome…. so much stronger that just the photograph it derives from…. so this is a Nat+Lee tee shirt for you to enjoy…. and you should find it over in her portfolio as well / . / . / this is more or less what she started out with to arrive at the finished shirt…. big difference hey…. anyway enjoy and truckloads of thanks to Nat for taking this on…... it looks sooo differnent to the orgianal and now it’s soooo funky…... / .
it’s all out tee shirt week this week on RB what with 15% off and all that…. so here is a little angel sitting pretty…. originally a b/w photo that had been handcoloured then into photoshop for a bit of a fiddling about and then straight to here…...
I posted this image a couple of days ago and the very fine Philmore suggested that it would look pretty cool as a tee shirt….so for Philmore …. it’s totally cool…...
our Nat goddess of tee shirt goodness is nearly naked and needing a nifty new shirt…. and this is a fresh and only slightly fishy new design…... fishy fish with chicken feet….. and look ma no seaweed…... :) / . / this really needs to be viewed up large to get all the detail into your eyeballs….
having so much fun with this angel photo that I’ve done another tee shirt…oh dear must be time for telly and a glass of red… no more angels on tee shirts … this is the last
a little lush every now and then is most likely a pretty good thing in anyones life / . / view this up large to get the full half tone effect into your eyeballs….. :)

I have no idea what this is about only it’s raining and raining and raining and I’m a bit bored… I could find some proper work to do but this is what I’ve gone and done… and I have no idea what a Nube is… I made it up coz it just sort of fitted the face…oh well…enjoy it anyway….
Yesterday I made use of the really super nifty little share doover to post this tee shirt on facebook and one of my sons saw it and suggested I do a version for black tee shirts…. so I have and so this is for you Lachie
