Shiny, red cherries More yummy things here View my entire Redbubble range by theme here
This is painted in acrylic on stretched canvas. I love the way the light shines on apples and the way it interacts with the pattern on the skins. Also the way the apples distort through the cuts in the crystal bowl. See more of Freda’s works: / Boats / City / Fractals / Stillife / Figures Freda’s website
Having a little bit of fun with the old mandolin and a lemon. Together they make for some juicy music! / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——-
I couldn’t resist these glowing red cherries at the local farmers’ market yesterday. They make a great photographic subject, and they taste good, too!
Hummmm ! Delicious ....An untouched macro ,i only did a selective coloring on it for that little seed. /

I started this drawing some time ago for a supermagic track named flash flood. The idea was to invoke hokusai’s wave but suggest more of a surge than a crash. I only recently discovered the half finished drawing and it became part of the inspiration for the don’t panic pack design, I therefore decided to polish it off and give it the power colours I had originally envisioned..
Just did this Apple photo shoot today…one image is they are just wet and the other it is raining on them… that is if I can figure out how to put two different pics here…So hopefully you’ll see both of them…Husband sprayed them with water while I clicked away….Hope you enjoy…Take a bite! !http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/border:blackwithdetail/product:laminated-print/size:medium/view:preview/3162349-3-apples-in-the-rain.jpg!

This is actually a light fitting making up the ceiling within the food court of the Italian version of Harrods which is directly opposite Duomo in central Milan. I liked it immediately and proceeded to get some very strange and confused looks from people! Frankly I thought it was more strange that someone would pay £300 for a bottle of water…. A new addition to the Tropical and Food Collections, this painting is a tribute to the juiciness of the fruit…unlike my previous renditions of the Papaya, this is painted with much fewer details and has a relaxed feel to it, which is more in tune with the tropics...it is also part of the Sepia and Gold colour collection See the entire Tropical Collection..HERE Watercolour with Pen and Ink on DrawMaster Paper “They grew like giants in our backyard / in Cuba, thin, ravenously thirsty plants / that bore fruit every spring, first as small / as pears, then the fruit swelled to the size / of footballs, their communal weight / a clumped burden on the whole plant— / only my father knew for sure when to cut / them down, bring them inside the house, / in the kitchen he sliced them, these toothy / smiles, teeth like black goblets, a volcano’s / ashy tear on leaves, sweet, delicious, these / fruta bombas, as my father called them. / For years while we lived in Los Angeles, / he couldn’t grow them in such a dry climate, / but when he moved to Hialeah, Florida, / he harvested them once again, brought / them upstairs under his arms, a smile”..excerpt..V.
