My dear friend Judi is not feeling so great today, so I photographed this lovely statue for her at the university I live near.. ;) This is the Thai statue Phra Apaimanee ‘Whose magic pipe music soothes the listeners’ – I hope her magic makes Judi and anyone else who is under the weather feel better today..;)

The traditional seaside showing of Punch & Judy waits for its next audience. The sun was shining behind me, with dark rainclouds to the front of me. Over-use of ND filters has enhanced the clouds. The clouds eventually left and I didn’t get wet, it was actually very hot! Weymouth, UK.

Another example of a ‘throw away shot’ turning out to be a favorite. I was about to shoot a poetry reading at Cafe Montmartre on Main Street in Vancouver. The event (Thundering Word Heard) was very dimly lit so 10 minutes before show time I want out to spend the rest of the 200 roll to switch to 800. Probably had five shots or so left . Judy is a result. scanned from a K1000 print. Vancouver, BC, Canada. 2001 (maybe 2002)
