  • Glacier heli-hike.

  • Glacier cave.

  • Went shooting with Mom today; among the locations we hit was a Czechoslovakian cemetery in Dubina, Texas. Managed to pull off a few good ones.

  • Taken at Franz Josef Glacier on the New Zealand South Island

  • Looking up from within a cave wall at Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand, was reminiscent of the sea to me.

  • Franz Josef Glacier, New Zealand, September 2007. We got lucky and had perfect weather with plenty of sunlight. I would call this photo a good example of my passion for interesting shapes, particularly those made by nature. © Stacey Hatton: Please do not use this image in any way without prior permission This piece has been submitted for use in the Bubblemania group.

  • Franz Josef Glacer in New Zealand, September 2007. I loved the way the light caught this thin piece of ice and brought out the blue. We got really lucky with the sunshine. © Stacey Hatton: Please do not use this image in any way without prior permission

  • I’ve been to the glacier a number of times, but I thought that it looked particularly striking on this day in August of 2005. It looks almost menacing, or like some sort of monster.

  • I’m entering this into the Luscious Landscapes competition in the the RPA group. If you like my work, please vote! :D This was another hiking group on the Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand, September 2007. They look so small! © Stacey Hatton: Please do not use this image in any way without prior permission

  • A glacier guide on the Franz Josef glacier, New Zealand.

  • Taken on a glacier walk – Franz Josef Glacier, New Zealand.

  • “Franz Josef Glacier” – New Zealand, South Island

  • The main street of Franz Josef looking towards the glacier. /

  • Franz Josef Glacier, South Island New Zealand.

  • This image was illustrated Michael Josef’s story “Station 19” which can be found in Graveside Tales’ anthology “Fried! Fast Food, Slow Deaths”. Its a wonderful twist on the fast food industry, with a zombie twist. Oh and there’s some major gattling gun action in it … did I say that the story is uber cool?! No? Well it is! Seriously, if you’re up for a great read thats the book to buy.

  • For anybody interested in the shot, it was taken under the Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand, and the tunnel here was big enough to crawl through. I just loved the way the ice darkened towards the centre of the tunnel, and the way the folding sheets of ice to the sides gives the picture an abstract feel. Hope you like it!

  • Panorama of the Franz Josef Glacier and valley from the lookout.

  • Vertical panorama of the Franz Josef Glacier from the lookout

  • Going through my New Zealand holiday shots, I found this top-to-bottom view of Franz Josef Glacier on west coast of South Island, New Zealand. Due to the rough terrain on the approach to this glacier, I didn’t get much closer that this – you have to be fit enough to scramble over a lot of rocks & mountain goat trails. I decided to err on the side of caution, as I didn’t fancy dislocating my hip replacement! If you look closely at the lower left corner, the size of braver people gives you an impression of the granduer of this glacier. Pentax Optio E20
