Having God’s Waves and Billows pass over us is painful but necessary for growth and renewal. Although painful, it is always done out of Love for God is Love. And in due season we will reap a harvest if we do not lose heart in the process. Both David and Jonah know this process well and describe it below. Painting size : 4 ft. x 5ft. canvas Medium : Acrylic Year : 2002 This painting illustrates scriptures that show God’s plan to remove the power of sin over man and creation, through the death of Jesus the Christ, His only Son, crucified and raised from the dead. / the figures on the left illustrate John 3 : 14 – 15, where Jesus tells Nicodemus that , just like the Israelites who were bitten by the serpents, had to look on the bronze serpent with faith, to receive healing from their bites, so must sinners look with faith to Christ’s death on the cross, to have the penalty for their sins removed. / The figures on the right illustrate Matthew 12: 39 – 40 , Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees and Scribes, who refused to believe He is Messiah. When they asked for a sign, Jesus told them the only sign He would show them was the sign of the prophet, Jonah. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, and then was spit up on the shore, so would Jesus be in the heart of the earth for three days, and three nights, then God will raise Him from the dead. / The figures in the center of the painting illustrate Revelation 1 : 12 – 20, The apostle John describes the appearance of The Glorified Christ , Who is speaking to him in a vision. He describes Jesus’ appearance as being bright as the sun. / God has put all authority and power over the earth and The Heavenly Kingdom in Jesus’ Hands. Christ will reward the faithful servants of God and He will cast the unbelieving , Satan, fallen angels into The Lake Of Fire. / Jesus has been given the keys to Death and Hades, and He will destroy both. / In His new kingdom, there will be no place found for them, for sin will not exist. / Jesus the Christ is the church’s High Priest and He will offer up the prayers and praises to God on our behalf. It’s About time for a new Artist, thus I bring you a cool new bro by the name of…. Jonah Gautier, 19, Humboldt County, California~ / So why do I like this dudes work… / Hmm, 19, Californian, passion for photography….mmm…nope, thought I got it. / ;) Well its simple. / Besides sharing those things in common above… / His Images Quality rocks! And he takes advantage of his surroudings, working with what he’s got! Humboldt is pristine and lovely and very much displayed in his work (oh! and his dog is almost as cool as mine!) Ok, ok cut the chit chat…lets get to it. Im gunna start you off with my favorite image… When He’s Not Sleeping simply because I love having my dog around ( too bad he’s too wild to take around like Ajax here) so I know how special this shot is. / Besides its awesome clarity and magazine like feel! ah, man I’m tearing up… Ahem Anyway… In Jonah’s gallery..you will find an Array of Colours... actually quite literally! but in all tense and purposes i meant that quite figuratively to describe the flowers… One of my fav of those shots is…Here Comes the Sun (which btw is a song by Remedy Drive, should check them out) imean, obviously this IS a sun flower…but i like it because, it gives us another reason why the sunflower is called a sun flower (besides turning its face to east-sunrise and west-sunset at day’s end…bet you didn’t know that!) The Space Between ...is another cool shot! ..the ladybug isnt exactly stuck between a rock and a hard place, but it does remind me of where magma/lava meets the ocean…a great contrast in objects and colours! wait…. lets say hi to Ajax again… he’s so cool! ok ok… THIS IS NOT AJAX! how dare he put up pix of another dog… >.< oh Ajax, we got a bone to pick with your bro!...haha..bone to pick…hah ok…sorry. Back to the serious stuff, here is a shot i always think is super cool! / sweet title too! Into the Blue Now, his gallery isnt big. And he is relatively young. Which means, potential abounds! Stop by JG’s Gallery and Im sure you’d find something you like… ahh! Now i know why i like him! He reminds me of….me! say bbye to Ajax!
