Boating on the river Nidd at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. The railway viaduct was built in 1851 to carry Victorian rail traffic over the Nidd Gorge. It is is 90ft high and 338ft long. Knaresborough has a long and interesting history having strong connections with Royalty and the Crown as part of the Honour of Knaresborough. It has much to offer visitors – a beautiful crag-top setting on a gorge of the River Nidd with the remains of an ancient castle; riverside walks and cafés, the curious Dropping Well and semi-legendary figure of Mother Shipton and her prophecies. My two brollies from a rainy day last week…done in infrared (of course), and drying outside on the porch. You might recognise the imposed images ;-) Description for DAC: I shot an infrared photo of my umbrellas on the porch, uploaded to Photoshop and duplicated in the Layers Palette, and multiplied. I then applied a Wavy Color filter from Flaming Pear to the top copy and shifted the color slightly purple-ish. I then opened two other images of autumn leaves and placed them between the two base images that were multiplied. The new images are transparent, you can still see the umbrellas through them because of the multiply function. I resized the two leaf images and placed each one over one of the umbrellas and just erased around the umbrella edges to remove any left over leaf pattern. I used a hard light mix in the blending modes in the Layers Palette on the leaf images. I flattened the image and then used levels to brighten up the overall image. ;-)
a poignant pledge of paunchy proportions so putrid in principle that paupers and their own petty postulations appear as preachy piffle by comparison. raise your right arm rambunctiously and roar this reverent rambling and be revered as the righteous rise up and take rightful restitution on these right wing rascals hiding behind their ramparts and rudimentary rhetoric! or not. — / words on shirt are that of Chuck Robertson/Sascha Lazor / —

In Brisbane at night. I had to capture these beautiful shadows on the bridge. I think they’re akin to film.

Reflections of color light often come out sweet. This was a reflection of some color lights shining of the water near the Long Beach harbor. Remindes me of Jolly Ranchers.
