Gouche on Bockingford 150gsm fine grain watercolour paper. / This was a challenge. I wanted to create my own jigsaw puzzle. I studied other puzzles…the shapes of the pieces and came up with this. It was a test in patience…taught me to examine shapes and the spaces they left.
Puzzle heart with a message.
Ok, I’m sick, and my tablet wasn’t working well, so I couldn’t detail the heart, maybe I’ll do it later…MAYBE!!!

This image is a tribute to my mum who has Alzheimer’s. There are fragments of her long-term memory still intact, but short term events go very quickly. What I’ve learnt is to enjoy the ‘now’ with her. She is well looked after by amazing dedicated staff in a quiet nursing home… and she still has an amazing sense of humour… and she likes doing jigsaws.
