The colours of the sunset here are tremendous. It is a pleasure to watch the changing colours long after the sun sets, the lights come on and all the other sunset watchers leave (before the best bit!!!). This is the second night we spent in Derby. I have also uploaded the shot from the first night but can’t decide which I prefer. The colours were different on the two nights due to fire in the area.

A juvenile Leafy Sea Dragon (Phycodurus Eques) under the deteriorating jetty at Rapid Bay, South Australia. Until you get used to it, its very difficult to spot the dragons amongst the weed. The little jetty, trees and shoreline, just below the Charlemont homestead are all mirrored in the waters of Thompsons Creek, in the stillness of the morning, just after dawn.

500+ views. The old Port Willunga Jetty was taken at dusk at Port Willunga Beach, South Australia, Australia. This is my favourite beach in SA. Photoshop used to enhance the colour of the sunset with colour balance and filters. This was taken on a tripod using F32, 10 second exposure, ISO 200 and 75mm lens. This was taken using a Canon DSLR EOS 350D. This shot was featured in the Timber and Water Group.

This is a real reflection, not a composite of any type. / Using a polarizing filter I focused ‘into’ the reflection of the jetty & sky, then in post processing I increased the contrast & colour of the reflection. An early morning image looking across Ullswater in the English Lake District National Park. / The ferry was tied up to the jetty at Poolley Bridge, waiting for the first passengers of the day. / The ferry boat trips are very popular during the Summer months as they travel the length of the lake stopping at Howtown then on to Glenridding at the opposite end of the lake, a most informative commentary of the history and geography of the surrounding area is normally given by the skipper from the wheelhouse, a most enjoyable trip for anyone visiting the area. Late evening shot at Robe South Australia. The remains of the old town slipway disappearing into the ocean. As the sun set the slowly lapping waves created the gentle soft flow.
