  • It was a last minute decision to pop out before dinner and take a few shots. I had to do it as all day there were very limited photo opportunities. Boy was I glad that I popped out….a great scene greeted me….mirror like reflections and magical light…only if I didn’t deliberate for so long….. Photo Taken: 25-Aug-2007 / Time: 5:40pm / Conditions: Sunny winters day /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   Some other seascape art: / /   /   / /   /   /

  • While on a weekends hiking up in the Blue Mountains, I enjoyed a gorgeous tranquil sunrise over one of the lovely lakes up there. Not another soul around. Lovely delicate colours in the sky, and a very still tranquil lake. What a great way to start the day. I hope you enjoy this.

  • Sunset at Warners Bay / Lake Macquarie NSW Australia

  • Shortly after the dream, the mountains breathed out a morning glow across the still surface of a murky glacial lake.

  • After 13 days of non stop rain, it was great to see the sun come up this morning. This jetty is about 30 metres from my back fence, so it didn’t require too much effort – just rolled out of bed and stumbled down in my pyjamas : ) / / Blackalls Park / Lake Macquarie NSW Australia

  • More infrared.. Exposure : 15sec

  • Valentine Jetty, Newcastle, NSW.

  • That’s my son on the end of the jetty with the world at his feet.

  • They say that the grass is always greener on the other side… ...it may not be that easy to get to but well worth the effort! I’ve been trying to get to those greener pastures for a while now and yesterday its looks like I just found a gate! It’s not green but the future is definately looking brighter! 29.08.08 Taken on the road from Tofino to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. British Columbia. March 2008. Thank you Claire once again for putting aside your camera for a while to satisfy my whims!

  • I just liked it =-)

  • Tonights Sunset at Warners Bay, Lake Macquarie, NSW. Long exposure: f/22, ISO100, 124sec. FEATURED in the “Light & Reflection” and the “Dawn & Dusk Light” groups

  • Sunrise on the Chicago skyline with Lake Michigan aglow. The 3 block rocks were covered with a coating of ice and along with the posts reminded me of Stonehenge. Worked in Layers by placing two widely different exposed images on top of each other and removing parts of one image to leave the deep colors of the sky and keep the highlighted icy block rocks. This done using Adobe Photoshop CS3.

  • Ok, I have a thing for jettys…this is clear now. It’s a strange addiction, help? f/22 / 3 raw exposures up to 30 secs Uploaded into photomatrix, 50% half strength in tone mapping / Normally I do a 100% strength, so this is like half a hdr? O.o Anyway I’m pleased with the result. The evening was magic, the color in the sky was just brilliant. I was like a little kid at a candy store when I pulled up in my car at this location. :)

  • The beauty of Lake Illawarra NSW on a glorious sunset. / The only trouble I have with taking shots like this is the atmosphere, the colors, the mood doesn’t last too long. / Thank god for our cameras, that enable us to record these moments. HDR 3 exposures up to 30 secs, at f22
