I absolutely hate this picture .. I mean, there are parts of it I love and am glad that I made and etc. . .but the girl .. she has the look of every stuck up bimbette I had to endure in school and I want to just slap her until she gets a thought in her head and something besides bitching coming out of her mouth. Oh yes I do! So, this is rather awkward for me. I mean, I rather like the quality of the work involved in her turning out at all, but I really wish she’d go away now. lol

This is the front of an invite for a show called Uncle Sam Jr. I hung the show in 1999 at an Echo Park gallery in Los Angeles, Ca. called Delirium Tremens. ( now closed ) It was a protest show against the war of the day. This show consisted of Paintings, drawings, a mural, sculptures and installations. For the opening I did a performance and Keith Morris of the Circle Jerks played with his band Midget Handjob. There was another San Francisco band, I think called, Southern Restoration Society. All I remember is they almost caught the gallery and the many apartments above it on fire while doing the Jimi to a guitar. I moved away from LA soon after this show and I am just now getting back to my Art career. You could say I was dismayed at the reaction of the scenesters who showed to be seen and missed the content of the show… Sam Dantone

I play soccer on a regular basis. Throughout my entire life whenever, or wherever I’ve played the sport, there’s always been at least one person who believes he/she is the undisputed expert on the sport. / They don’t have a problem telling you what you’re doing wrong or how you should be doing it instead. To those people (or a-holes as I refer to them), I dedicate this piece. / if you know one, and really, who doesn’t? Get them this shirt asap!

Anyone who claims to have been a part of the second generation punk scene (Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains) has fond memories of the City Gardens shows and the monthly mailing of the Punk Card. This version of the tee shirt has a random collection of bands from a variety of months between the early 80’s and mid 90’s. A meal that my daughter made for tonight’s supper, acorn squash glazed in honey jerk paste with roasted garlic and toasted pecan couscous topped with curried apricot and apple compote with a side of nutmeg braised carrots. / She loves to cook and is always experimenting, I grabbed a photo of this after she plated it and believe me it tasted as good as it looks! / I did tell her that she needs to start writing her recipes down as she makes them though.
