  • Acrylic on canvas / Yes, I know you’ve seen a lot of sunsets…well I wanted to try painting one…and enjoyed using an array of colour. No sunset/sunrise is the same is it? There is always that wild card…what will it be like. / No paticular place…just from my imagination.

  • Jealousy is simply and clearly the fear that you do not have value. Jealousy scans for evidence to prove the point – that others will be preferred and rewarded more than you. There is only one alternative – self-value. If you cannot love yourself, you will not believe that you are loved. You will always think it’s a mistake or luck. Take your eyes off others and turn the scanner within. Find the seeds of your jealousy, clear the old voices and experiences. Put all the energy into building your personal and emotional security. Then you will be the one others envy, and you can remember the pain and reach out to them. ~Jennifer James The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves. ~William Penn, Some Fruits of Solitude, 1693

  • Yep this is a moonrise, not a sunrise. I’ve never seen such an orange moon rising as on this night. This is one photo from a sequence of 135 I shot of the moonrise, which I’ve turned into a timelapse – you can see one hour of moonrise in 30 seconds here And can I also get your help? I can’t make up my mind which crop I like best so can you tell me whether you like #1, #2, or #3 and I’ll post the most popular up. Taken at Wottamolla Cliffs, Royal National Park just south of Sydney Canon 1Ds MkIII / Tv: 20secs / Av: 3.5 / ISO: 400 / FL: 35mm (plus cropped)

  • Location: Belvedere, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland ’’The story of the Jealous Wall and the sadness and cruelty that surrounded the lives of the Rochfort family, is well known. The first Earl of Belvedere, Robert Rochfort, married the young and beautiful Mary Molesworth. After she bore several children he locked her up aged 20 in his old family home at Gaulstown, for suspected adultery. She remained a prisoner for the better part of her life, and was only released on the death of her tyrannical husband. It is said that he erected the Jealous Wall to block out the view of his brother’s nearby mansion, Tudenham, because he suspected him of fancying his wife too. It is one of several remarkable follies which may be seen in the parkland at Belvedere.’‘ I really just love this photo. I’m so so happy how it turned out!!!

  • A Digital Painting done entirely in ArtRage, using my tablet. This – as the previously uploaded image – are older works of mine. I called this jealousy first.. but did not like the title.. it does not reflect what i am trying to show in this image. so.. i changed the title to.. the silent watcher.. yes.. he IS jealous.. and his jealousy has caused her to do exactly that what he has feared all along… he pusher ‘her’ away from him.. with his jealous heart.. and now he sees his worst fears confirmed… not realizing that he himself is the cause….. he dies a silent, inner death…..
