  • Having made my second batch of 3D models I wanted to make a picture with them. I haven’t included anything that I didn’t construct myself. If I were to be less true to my new creations then I would consider having the light cast from behind the camera throwing a shadow of a man on a phone. That would be the one who is ringing his Mum and proudly saying Hey Ma! I got me a critter in a jar. As it stands clearly the light source is the wrong and we can’t see his shadow. ;-)

  • This old-fashioned jar was sitting beside the kitchen sink in 2008 when I realised that the late-evening light gave me a really interesting subject devoid of colour. The contrast between metal and glass in shadow and light magntised me instantly. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F6.7, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 125mm. Featured in CONTRASTING PERCEPTIONS, July 2009. Featured in ART OF GLASS, July 2009. Top 10 in SIMPLY WHITE ARTWORK GALLERY, August 2009.
