This 20×20 inch foam core, was covered in a beautiful orange and red Japanese goldfish motif. Painting over it was hard at first, but then the decision to keep one fish visible, peeping through the layers of paint, became easier once I saw the effect taking shape.

I love these flowers, graceful in groups on the top of high stalks at the end of summer. Unfortunately they have now disappeared from my garden, probably because it’s too dry in summer. Top Ten in “It’s all white” challenge in Extreme Close-ups group.
