A macro shot of a peace lily while the leaves were begining to dry and slowly dying. The photo is nearly in it most natural state, minimal augmentation was done to the original, some light enhancement and cropping. Enjoy~
A photo of a white horse I took during our fantastic summer of 2007. Enjoy!
A floral shot of a spring tulip I had at home just after Easter. I love tulips and red is my colour so this shot was heaven. I played with my camera macro settings when I snapped this.

Photo taken at parliament building Ottawa , Ontario, Canada in 2007. We took a spontaneous road trip with our two small kids and it was a lot of fun. We drove to Kingston about 4 hours out of our city and the next day continued two more hours to Ottawa. We stayed overnight and spent the whole day adventuring out, checked out the dinosaur museum and site seeing. We headed home in the evening while the kids slept in the car. It was a great 6 hours spent with hubby, talking and catching up. I love roadtrips.
IMAGE FEATURED IN ABSTRACT ART / About the painting: The piece was inspired by my desire to grasp the secrets of the Universe, hence the name of the piece. Dimension: 28” x 59” (71×150 cm) painted on a studio stretched canvas, staple free sides. Choice of my colour palette: I used the colours, which resonated with my energy levels at the time. Each section has it’s own uniqueness and texture and also a deep and significant meaning. The centre of the universe has a nucleus, which is a source or power for providing and generating life in different galaxies. In our case the SUN or Helios, which stands for SUN GOD in Greek. The blues throughout the piece are a reference to H2O, again in our case water, which is another source for life on Earth. The reds were added as a variety of gasses and flaming stars and planets with births and rebirths, such as NOVAS and SUPERNOVAS. They were equally important to be present for life on other planets and in other galaxies, since the source to sustain life there is unknown. I also used a lot of white, which leads to continuous growth and development in the vast space and the use of black was for the mysterious, unknown and yet undescovered. The yellows were symbolic for LIFE in general and the only reason I used that colour is because it resonated with me better then green. I find the colour happy and joyous, just as life is meant to be. FUN, fun, fun! I enjoyed creating the swirls and turns and even that was a reference to worm holes and ports within dimensions and the time space continuum itself. The result became MY UNIVERSE! Dimensions are 24×48 inches. SOLD A friend of mine said my work “Roots of Gaia” reminded him of Frida Kahlo’s work so I went to investigate. Even though it wasn’t directly inspired by Frida, I find her pieces resembling few of my own including ideas flowing. I found this perticuliar pretty resembling piece in terms of title and colours choices used. How cool!!!!!

IMAGE FEATURED IN ARACHNIDS A super tiny spider I played with all morning to capture few crisp images with my Sigma Macro 70 mm lens. I combined a total of 6 photos all shot from the same angle, just focusing on diferent parts to combine them for one crisp image. A lot of work, nevertheless I’m proud. Oh, btw.. spiders creep me right out so this was challenging. Photo taken in my home, Ontario, Canada. Make: NIKON CORPORATION / Model: NIKON D80 / Shutter Speed: 10/600 second / F Number: F/4.0 / Focal Length: 70 mm / ISO Speed: 320 / Date Picture Taken: Jul 13, 2009, 3:02:49 AM It would make a great card with “DON’T BE SCARED” message in it. Just a thought.
IMAGE FEATURED IN STATUES & SUCH This piece, which is very special to me, represents a woman kneeling over a grave of a loved one. It was taken in Paris, Ontario at Sacred Heart Cemetery. As always I’m aware of the work I post in relation to the mood and day I’m having and this piece titled FAITH is something I feel is needed today. Thank you for stopping by and browsing my gallery.
This image represents LOVE, PEACE, FAITH & UNIVERSAL BOND we each share for mankind, nature and the world. I took this photo in the late evening/night while driving through a small town not too far from Brantford, Ontario, Canada. I fell in love with the colours while I felt a strong pull towards the feelling of light within the image. The words “Let there be light” came to mind when I was snapping this and it was so true. I stood there in the pitch blackness while the only thing lit on the entire block was this beautiful lit up church window. It made me feel wonderful, while I sensed a purpose to mankind & connecting to the universe. The colourful lights left me mesmerized by the beauty of the lit up glass and workmanship of who ever built it. I rested my camera on the hood of the vehicle to stabilize the focus and give my camera the extended exposure needed without any shaking. I was pleased with the result after few shots. I feel this piece represents the connection of the people in the world and the universe. It repersents faith, peace and love. Thank you for stopping by to view my work.
IMAGE FEATURED IN FLOWERS IN MACRO I captured the tiniest florettes of Sweet Anthony with my new toy, right in my back yard. I’m loving my Sigma 70mm Macro lens as it lets me discover a new hidden world of beauty. For those who don’t know the shrub, the flowers are clusterred and tight. I never knew how incredible they were until I zoomed in for a close-up. Each florette is about the size of a pin-head. Thanks for stopping by.
IMAGE FEATURED IN ALL ABOUT HEARTS These beautiful flowers grow in my garden every spring. They are the first ones to surface shortly after the tulips. I love how delicate yet firm and strong they are, until they too succumb to the elements. It makes a lovely heartfelt or romantic card.
IMAGE FEATURED IN THE WOMAN PHOTOGRAPHER The setting sun was shining perfectly through my bathroom window when I snapped this pic. It looked like the parfume was observing itself in the sprarkling sunbeams. Thank you.
I loved the way the stamens protruded out of the flowers as if they were saying pick me – pick me!! The beautiful “summer wine” shrub makes a wonderful addition to our garden. Flower clusters for this shrub are very tight and the actual florets are very tiny. It was interesting to examine them under the macro lens to see how beautiful they truly are. Thank you for stopping by and viewing my gallery ♥
IMAGE FEATURED IN 1:1 MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY / ALSO FEATURED IN CREATURES THAT SLITHER & SLIDE I love these little guys. My daughter though loves them a lot more then anyone I know. Her fascination with nature is so beautifully innocent as she picks up every little critter and crawler for her bug house only to inspect it further. She fascinates me and this snail was done for her. Her eyes lit up like little gemstones when she saw this precious snail and called me the “bestest” photographer in the world – in her eyes anyways. ♥ Photo taken in our back yard, Bratford, Ontario, Canada. Thank you. Thank you for stopping by to take a peek.
