I had the amazing experience of being able to take care of this Jaguar for 5 weeks while volunteering in a wildlife refuge in Bolivia.

Yaguaru is a 100kg jaguar that was rescued from a family (who had bought him off the black market when he was just a couple of months old) who could no longer care for him. His home now is Parque Ambue Ari, half way between Santa Cruz and Trinidad (Bolivia) where volunteers help to give him and many more animals a better life. For more information read my journal entry called “Parque Ambue Ari”.

This amazing Jaguar is located at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington. She was so calm and was so beautiful to just sit and gaze it. Hope you enjoy her as much as I did! Edith this is taken with my Nikon D80 and is straight from the camera.
