  • Diamond Peak in Crater Lake National Park, Oregon.

  • Nakalele Blowhole truly a miracle of nature. A shelf of lava rock on the north shore of Maui eroded by the punishing sea until the waves created a vent that spews like a geyser off and on and when the llight of late afternoon hits the spray the miracle of rainbow color becomes apparent.

  • Macro photograph of a section of cut rock that had deterioated somewhat. The rock I think is shale! A little contrast and a little colour and I have a colourful abstract designed by Mother Nature! / !! / /

  • The Jaguar. What an great subject to shoot. Did you know that the Belize Cockscomb Basin Preserve is the only animal preserve dedicated to Jaguar preservation in the world. They boast a 1 cat to every 5 square miles ratio. One of the biggest reasons why this majestic big cat in endangered is due to habitat loss because of deforestation in the Americas. The Jaguar has all but vanished in the American South and Central America.

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery View to Cradle Mountain Cradle Mountain National Park, World Heritage Area, Tasmania. Cradle Mountain forms the northern end of the wild Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair National Park, itself a part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The jagged contours of Cradle Mountain epitomise the feel of a wild landscape. The Cradle Mountain region is an area of marked geological contrasts. The region has been extensively shaped by glacial erosion and deposition over the past 2 million years. The various glaciers which covered the area have left behind a variety of glacial features including the U-shaped valley of the Dove River. • Everything was pure white that morning but with a jagged feel rather than the smooth white of fresh snow. It took me a while to find a twig with beautiful hoar frost and a simple dark background to set it off properly.
