  • All the delicious delights and colours of beautiful Tuscany painted in a stylish, colourful, lively composition.

  • A playful, colourful scene of a romantic, cozy, little moon-lit trattoria with my two notorious cats.

  • Taken in my homeland, Salento, Puglia, south of Italy.. / I usually spend my summer holiday to my parents place, / I just love observing people fishing, gives me a sense of tranquility.. the sunset was so nice and I grabbed the opportunity to take this picture. / This is exactly the way it looked. / / . /

  • A lot of people seem to like this photo. (Of course, I’m pleased about that!) Just a grab shot as I was walking trough Lucca, Italy.

  • Car fumes in a narrow street in Florence, Italy

  • Vespa / Sold / framed print —federation square / framed print – redbubble / framed print – ivanhoe art market / canvas print redbubble THE BIRTH OF A LEGEND Vespa is more than a humble scooter. Piaggio was founded in Genoa in 1884 by twenty-year-old Rinaldo Piaggio. It took shape thanks to the successful co-operation of the aeronautical engineer and inventor Corradino D’Ascanio (1891-1981). The Vespa (wasp in Italian) was the result of Enrico Piaggio’s determination to create a low cost product so anyone could afford one. • The press loved the Mini on it’s launch in 1959, but sales were unimpressive, but when well known celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Twiggy became owners that the sales went through the roof. I’m pretty sure the Italian Job also had plenty to do with sales post 1969. The scene where the robbers’ Minis are chased through a sewer tunnel were filmed in the Sowe Valley Sewer Duplication system in the English city of Coventry.

  • The beautiful, unspoiled, relatively isolated (until I opened my big mouth) Val di Funes, in the northern part of the Italian Dolomites. Each year when we visit the Dolomites (home from home – remember I AM a marmot), we try to get to spend a few hours, with a picnic (make mine an Asti Spumante!) in this peaceful and amazing place. Unfortunately, the vista here faces north – we need to try and get here earlier/later in the day for a clearer shot of those jagged spires.

  • Giove, Italy ! Taken in the small medieval town of Giove in Umbria but just one hour away from Rome !

  • Italian Singer: Eros Ramazzotti

  • Taken in flight over Italy. Canon EOS 40D / Canon Lens:28-135 Thank you REDBUBBLE for featuring my photograph “The Italian Alps” on the Home Page. I am extremely honored and very surprised to say the least. Today is a happy day! February 9, 2009 Warmest Regards, Bonnie Blanton *The Ligurian Alps are a mountain range in northwestern Italy. They form the south-western extremity of the Alps, separated from the Apennines by the Colle di Cadibona. The Col de Tende separates them from the Maritime Alps. They form the border between Piedmont in the north and Liguria in the south. / The Ligurian Alps are drained by the Tanaro River and other tributaries of the Po River on the Piemontese side; by several smaller rivers that flow directly to the Mediterranean Sea on the Ligurian side. / The chief peaks of the Ligurian Alps are Punta Marguareis (2651 m) and Monte Mongioie (2630 m). There are several other peaks over 2000 m. (Excerpted from Wikipedia)

  • Villa Borghese, Rome ! Italy ! Villa Borghese is a large landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome, containing a number of buildings, museums and attractions. It is the second largest public park in Rome (80 hectares or 148 acres) after that of the Villa Doria Pamphili. The gardens were developed for the Villa Borghese Pinciana (“Borghese villa on the Pincian Hill”), built by the architect Flaminio Ponzio, developing sketches by Scipione Borghese, who used it as a villa suburbana, a party villa, at the edge of Rome, and to house his art collection. The gardens as they are now were remade in the early nineteenth century.
