A solitary dead leaf seemingly floating in mid air in the garden. Hanging by a small spiders thread – drifting on the breeze as everything around it remained green and growing. Connected by the thread but isolated by death. Canon 400D 18-55 lens, processed ion Photoshop.

This drawing is about faces in a crowd…stopped at an intersection perhaps, waiting to cross the road. She glances over her shoulder at you. A momentary glimpse of recognition passes between two strangers.A connection felt….was it just imagination, or…..? The lights have changed. Everyone’s moving again. This little baboon was all by his lonesome on the branch of a dead tree, on the banks of The Chobe River, Botswana. We were wondering why he was all alone, while a whole congress of baboons were having the time of their lives further down the bank. Our guide told us he was banished from the congress, either temporarily, or permanently. I felt a bit bad for this guy, but then again, don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time! Original shot destaurated and layered with texture from www.deviantart.com – struckdumb. Colour desaturated in one layer of texture and increased in second.
