Alpen glow as Mount Aspiring lights up with the first rays of the morning’s sun, reflected in beautiful Lake Wanaka, South Island, New Zealand.

One of many frozen Willow trees lining the edge of Lake Wanaka, waiting for the dawn’s first light to warm them for a new day. At first I was disappointed not being able to see the lake and the mountains due to the heavy fog on the water. That soon changed!

Shortly after the dream, the mountains breathed out a morning glow across the still surface of a murky glacial lake.

Came across this field of Lupin’s a few years back growing in a field in New Zealand’s South Island. I love the colours and was like a ‘kid in a candy shop’ snapping images.
