When I took this picture the song Mainstreet was playing on the radio, so naturally I had to put the two together! We actually drove pass this spot and turned around to go back and get the shot! I am very pleased with the picture. Thank you for viewing and please listen to the TUNE, I think you will like that too! ;) / Mainstreet by Bob Seger I remember standing on the corner at midnight / Trying to get my courage up / There was this long lovely dancer in a little club downtown / I loved to watch her do her stuff / Through the long lonely nights she filled my sleep / Her body softly swaying to that smoky beat / Down on mainstreet In the pool halls, the hustlers and the losers / I used to watch em through the glass / Well Id stand outside at closing time / Just to watch her walk on past / Unlike all the other ladies, she looked so young and sweet / As she made her way alone down that empty street / Down on mainstreet And sometimes even now, when Im feeling lonely and beat / I drift back in time and I find my feet / Down on mainstreet / Down on mainstreet / / This shot was taken driving through Campbell River, BC. This shot was taken at Fantail bay on the Coromandel Peninsula which is a lovely little rocky bay on the western side up near the top of the peninsula. It was taken about midnight using the light of a moon which was about 3 days away from being full.

Tarawera Falls, North Island, New Zealand. / Full Moon, Night photo. Assessable only by 20minute drive through forestry roads. Beware of large logging trucks! I’d been hoping to take this photo for a while. It took one year to happen, because the top part of the waterfall only flows in spring time when its been rain a lot. Also waiting for a clear moon lit night can take a while to happen if it keeps raining and raining. / As you can see the water here does nt follow over the cliffs, it flows through it. The water travels down old lava flows that come out of the cliffs. At the top you can see large sink holes where the water is sucked underground. / It’s great to see this photo like I imagined it.
