A few years ago we celebrated the New Year in the distant island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland… / These pics are the result of my Polaroid camera being exposed to sub-zero temperatures while drunk on single malt whiskey.
A photo of San Francisco skyline, looking eastward, shot after dusk on a cloudy night. This is a seamlessly stiched panoramic shot with a lot of sharp detail. Most of the famous landmarks are in this shot: Bay Bridge, Transamerica building, BofA Building, Coit Tower etc. Yerba Buena island and East Bay / Oakland is in the background.

It’s been raining like hell here in Rome; so much that the Tiber River is flooding; I can seeit from my apartment! The edges around Tiber Island is now under water; you can see tree tops above the water surface! Apparently the day the weather will get better this coming thursday Dec 18th, 2008; and that’s the day I leave Rome and head for London… geez nice weather come when I leave; but I still try to do do as much sightseeing as I can with the remaining time.

...when an aeolian island meets fantasy…
The bridge to the Ile d’Oleron is rather large and we have been across it many times during the day but never in the evening – so this time after having a leisurely dinner and a little drive around the coast before going home we took the opporunity to stop on the Island side of the bridge and try out the G10! This is just one of the images that I took – I have to say I am impressed yet again with this little camera – I tried out 3 different settings and even managed to get the tail lights of 2 cars leaving in another image! Sicily Island belongs to Italy / best view large :)) Tonnara di Scopello by night Mediterranean feeling at the Tonnara di Scopello / wich was one of the film location of Largo Whinch If any of you ever saw ocean’s twelve, there’s a scene that is based on “Tonnara di Scopello”: it’s an old fishing place where tunas where “farmed” and prepared to be sold. / It still has all the old rusty anchors filed on the side of this magic place: not to mention the blueness of its water. The Tonnara di Scopello is one of the most important Sicilian historic estates, probably the only intact evidence of a traditional Mediterranean tuna fishery. It is a private property from family heritage. / This ancient monumental settlement, enclosed by old perimeter walls, is located around a small bay, where majestic rocks with prickly pear cactus on top, called faraglioni, make the seawater look like a lagoon. Due to its historic and architectural relevance and to the beauty of its coastal landscape Tonnara di Scopello is protected by special laws on the part of the Italian Government more picture CLICK HERE Nikon D90 105mm nikkor lens / ISO 1000 / F/6.3 / 5 sec
