  • Well not so much “Big City” but still very active after dark. This is another of my night shots of St Helier, Jersey, C.I. Whist standing on the balcony of our friends home on the West Mount , I captured a few night shots of the beautifully lit up city. With this shot, I zoomed in on the centre of the city with all its illuminations glowing through the night sky, as if to announce that it was still full of life and activity. I love how the lights highlight the edges, contours, and curves of the buildings, with lines darting every which way. The layers of buildings give a lovely terraced feeling to this night shot. For me, the shades of purple and green of the leisure centre at the top of the hill, over looking the city below, is the preverbal “icing on top of the cake.” I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This photo is straight from the camera. It’s “AS IS”. It’s also best viewed large, so please take the time to enlarge and enjoy.
