A favorite image of mine for the message that it contained for me. A small island nearly swept over by the incoming tides as a small crack in the gathering storm allowed for a colorful sunset on this PAcific Ocean beach. An image with a message in it for me, for while the world can be swirling around you, your faith can be that refuge, that rock to grab onto as the world flies by you.

Anclote Key, Florida USA This is the sunset the first night I was hiding out on the island. I’ll admit, I was scared that night and didnt sleep much. I was 2 miles out in the ocean on an island without any protection and Im about 5’6 90 pds. You could throw me. The second my eyes opened to find daylight, I got back into the boat and headed to the ramp where my handgun was in my truck. I got it and back out I went. I intentionally didnt take it with the thought, ‘Im doing all of this to get away from all of THAT’. Thus, I left my piece which left me very vulnerable, scared and unable to enjoy my hiatus! I didnt even entertain the idea I would get out there and get scared. But, I did. Once I got my lil friend, no more worries! I have gotten a lot of bubblemails asking for a sunset. I didnt know I was ‘known for that’ but OK. I am here to please so here you have it! An island sunset! This image is symbolic of the fear and anxiety I was feeling as the sun left me sitting alone on the island. I didnt realize until then that the sun was the friend keeping me company all day. Lord, how I missed her until she came back. I was one scared girl. The Isle of Skye lies of the West Coast of Scotland. I was sitting on top of a cliff on the Island at 4am with my Border Collie and Camera by my side, just dreaming till day break when i spotted the light over what I call the Lower Isles breaking through the early morning clouds. My dreams had come true.
