Whilst competing in a Rogaine in SW Western Australia my mate and I stumbled upon a deserted farmhouse and out buildings. Because we were camping overnight in roughly the same area I managed to get back the next morning to get a few shots. I only hope I can find my way back there as there are lots of shots to be made.

The Heritage Series On the Prairies of South Western Saskatchewan / Taken in Swift Current Saskatchewan / this is a shot of the used equipment dealer in the heritage village / with the grain elevator in the background this tipical of a 1900’s elevator / shorter than the ones in the late 30’s and 40’s / all the grain was unloaded by hand ,by the famous backbreaker scope shovel / in later years the steam engine played a big role as a stationary engine / or as tractor for use on the thrash machine and as a field tractor / big and hard to handel

On the grounds of the Oka monastery, in Oka Quebec, is a blacksmith shop. On Saturday December 6th/08 while attending a Christmas craft fair, held in one of the barns, the public was invited to witness the blacksmith at work. / These artisans still use the tools of their forefathers. Today they produce various iron decorative objects such as candelabras and coffee tables in their shop in addition to the traditional work associated with rural life such as gates, agricultural tools, and horsehoes. It was a fascinating experience watching this young man demonstrate the skills needed for this ancient trade. Photoshop Elements used: Unsharp Mask

Old hospital building on an active campus, one of the most beautifully haunting scenes I have been lucky to stumble upon Pentax K100D Super 18-55 Kit lens… F/8 and I believe 15 seconds. Nope don’t need expensive equiptment to capture a good shot. Rusting corrugated tank, corrugated iron shed, weathered timber, angles, lines….... texture paradise!! / I found this while passing through an odd little NSW country town which goes by the name of “Legume”.
