  • When I got my Canon PowerShot A640 in the early Summer of 2007 I started taking various shots in the backyard. This image of a purple Iris was one of the first macro shots I had ever taken, and definitely one of my most popular images here on RedBubble.   • Vincent’s Cat Recently I’ve been looking at Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings. I love his irises and wanted to paint some myself. Their complicated forms and brilliant deep blues captivated me. As some of you may know I have a fondness for cats. During my life I have had two exceptional ginger cats ‘Victor’ and ‘Mittens’ who were very dear to me; this is dedicated to their memory.   • FE Talis formula. I felt a quite prickly intensity creep over me when this appeared. I couldn’t say why, but the name Core Spirit came into my head. It’s a fractal I have had for a few years and I did some more work on it today, but still get the same feeling. It reminds me of an iris.
