RedBubble is powered by you! The members of RB are the heart and soul of the creative journey that is RedBubble. You nurture, encourage, entertain, challenge, collaborate and share with each other. The generosity of spirit that I’ve seen on RedBubble is awesome. In title I am the RedBubble bus driver but the people shouting instructions are the members of RedBubble. This is your site and your community. We listen and very much see ourselves as working for you. It’s sometimes a little hard to make sense of all the feedback (and to move as fast as we’d like) but we do listen and act of the feedback. One of the things that we’d like to do over the next few months is get more people involved in RedBubble. We want to hand over the keys. There are over 500 people hosting groups or forums on RedBubble, and we’ve been racking our brains about other ways to get people involved. Today we’re kicking off a ‘welcomer’ role. The idea of this role is that a few folks from the community will put their hand up to help new bubblers find their feet (they’ll keep an eye out for recent members and monitor the welcome forum). And I’d like to welcome and thank the first two welcomers: Colin Tobin and Imogene Munday: But I’m sure there’s about a million other ways to get involved in RedBubble that we haven’t thought of. So today I’m asking a few questions: 1. What roles do you think we should create on RedBubble? / 2. Would you like to nominate to do something? Few of us know much about the devastating consequences of stroke, and how much every one of us is at risk to get struck by a stroke, an ischemic stroke which is the most common one ( 80%) and the hemorrhagic stroke (20%) which is the most deadly one with terrible consequences, the one my wife suffered in February 22nd 2008, and who left her with a total loss of her right visual field in both eyes ( homonymous hemaniopia ), the remaining eye sight being blurry and dark.
