This piece was a drawing done in ink. It was originally for a dinner party invite and when I saw how nice the sketch came out I used it for prints! It has been digitally enhanced with color and text. The words are in Italian and loosely mean “Dinner Party” with the time and date. / This print is available as a greeting card or a canvas print…both of which you can frame easily! Thanks for looking! Firstly I took the photo of the rose with a black B/G. To darken it more I cut around it with the lasso tool went to Select-inverse then changed the colour to black in the foreground box and used the paint bucket to drop in the black.I then went to file-blank file and brought up the size I wanted. I changed this to black.I clicked on Rectangular Marquee tool and placed a box around the rose pic. Chose Ctrl C and brought up the blank box and chose Ctrl V. I placed the pic in this box with room down the bottom to add the flood filter.

Featured on Red Bubble Home Page on Mothers day 2009 this is my mom… and that is you know who.. her great grand child :))))))))))))) on the cruise to Mexico.. the amazing thing is that this is one in a series of the sweetest looks and hugs between them.. we were entertained and were just awwwwwing.. it was so spontaneous and sweet. / and!! this is one of my faves. it makes it double extra special because it was the day of my moms birthday of 83 years in 2007.. which is why we went on a cruise . all of us sisters. were there. and she got to go to the place of her dream since childhood.. This Picture is no longer available as a card, because the writing get cut off. / But I now also have the same picture with white border added available as a card. / Grandma’s Coffee Cookies (recipe) w/ white border / Grandma’s Coffee Cookies / / 2 cups brown sugar / 1 cup butter / 1 cup cold leftover coffee / 1 egg / 3 cups flour / 1 tsp. baking soda / 1 tsp. baking powder / 1 tsp. cinnamon / ¾ tsp. nutmeg / 1 cup raisins, blanched (pour boiling water over raisins and let sit for 5 minutes, then drain) / 1 cup walnuts Mix brown sugar and butter together; blend in cold coffee. Beat in egg. Mix dry ingredients together and add to butter mixture. Stir in raisins and walnuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F for 12-14 minutes A beautiful, soft drop cookie. / Freeze well. Camera: Canon Rebel XT (DSLR) / Len: 18-55mm zoom / ISO: 100 / Shutter Speed: 1/13 / F/stop: 5.0 / W/B: Daylight / Self timer was used for this shot. / Lit natural sunlight from near by window. / Only change to the main photo was a bit of cropping and softening of the edge, other than that it as is from the camera.
