Had my first go at long exposures using car lights last night. Not a great photo, but turned out pretty cool I think :) :) Taken in North Kellerberrin, looking South towards the Hill and the Glow from the Oval Lights.
CSS is fun.
Friday August 3rd It happened again tonight. The old fool had left the door unlocked; and there, above the cages, some apparently empty and some housing pink-eyed rodents; stood the vessel containing the precious green liquid and marked with the words: “NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” once more, at my disposal. Thanks to yesterday’s acquisition of a rather splendid pocketwatch, I have been able to establish that administration of about 2floz of the serum is sufficient to remain effective for approximately two hours. I have thus resolved that, weather permitting, tomorrow’s edification will begin with the short trip into town whereupon I will partake in what will no doubt be another fruitful bout of “shopping”, after which with any luck, there will be ample time for a spot of inexpensive dining followed by a close inspection of the ample figures belonging to those delightful ladies up there at Pedlar’s Lane bathhouse, whom I understand, usually prefer to keep themselves hidden away from prying eyes. Dash it… Awfully sorry ladies!
My invisible man in the sky can beat up your invisible man in the sky. My brother came up with this. I made it. Then I googled it. It’s a popular sentiment, however, as of this date: 29 March 2008, there’s no t-shirts be found on the net, until now. This design is printed on American Apparel, sweat shop free verified, t-shirts in a variety of colors and styles for both men and women.
Why art thou silent and invisible / Father of Jealousy / Why dost thou hide thyself in clouds / From every searching Eye / Why darkness and obscurity / In all thy words and laws / That none dare earth the fruit but from / The wily serpents jaws / Or is it because Secrecy / Gains females loud applause........By William Blake
As people age, they often talk about how they become invisible to those around them, especially politicians and shop assistants. Both colour and reflection are used here to highlight one who is not invisible.
See my origami calendar Folded on June 21, 2008 and shot through a magnifying glass (as I only have a handhled camera without the fancy macro features – though I did use macro mode). Taken with an Olympus FE-220) A crane folded from a 3×3mm piece of trace paper The folding process and photo setup can be seen here And just for fun, I used this photo to create my new avatar (created on June 15, 2009) Here is the paper: / For a better idea of scale: / I didn’t videotape myself folding as linaji suggested, but just for fun here’s a preview of the origami surgery :P. The writing is on the wall – if you can see it, you can’t read it. I passed this sculpture so many times. You have to. It is made of stainless steel and placed in one of the busiest Wellington streets, in the perfect position to capture the colorful lights of the city after daylight, the nightglow of the capital. The ‘Invisible City’, as it’s called, is the gigantic panel of Braille text that highlights the communication gap between those who can’t see and the rest of us. The post is designed to remember all the folks, my countrymen and yours, the often invisible part of society, all those who finish schools, who work, play music, do sports, pay taxes, have and raise children, to the benefit of us all.
What type of pain is the worst / the invisible pain / I believe I am slightly bipolar / A manic depressive / Power my energies into art and you have an unstoppable force / . / Leave me alone with nothing to do but focus on myself and … / Around one in every 200 people in the UK develops bipolar and other related mood disorders. Signs of depression include losing weight, feeling totally negative about oneself, feel hopeless about the future and sometimes ending up in a depressive stupor in bed, unable to move, eat, drink or talk. People with bipolar disorder may also experience extreme mood highs, overactivity, increased libido, sleeplessness and grandiose delusions. Facts from http://www.ucl.ac.uk/media/library/bipolar / . / They believe they have found the Gene responsible for this disorder. / Lets assume they have and can even remove it, (Ok science fiction) but lets pretend.
