Friday August 3rd It happened again tonight. The old fool had left the door unlocked; and there, above the cages, some apparently empty and some housing pink-eyed rodents; stood the vessel containing the precious green liquid and marked with the words: “NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” once more, at my disposal. Thanks to yesterday’s acquisition of a rather splendid pocketwatch, I have been able to establish that administration of about 2floz of the serum is sufficient to remain effective for approximately two hours. I have thus resolved that, weather permitting, tomorrow’s edification will begin with the short trip into town whereupon I will partake in what will no doubt be another fruitful bout of “shopping”, after which with any luck, there will be ample time for a spot of inexpensive dining followed by a close inspection of the ample figures belonging to those delightful ladies up there at Pedlar’s Lane bathhouse, whom I understand, usually prefer to keep themselves hidden away from prying eyes. Dash it… Awfully sorry ladies!

Had my first go at long exposures using car lights last night. Not a great photo, but turned out pretty cool I think :) :) Taken in North Kellerberrin, looking South towards the Hill and the Glow from the Oval Lights.

As people age, they often talk about how they become invisible to those around them, especially politicians and shop assistants. Both colour and reflection are used here to highlight one who is not invisible.

Why art thou silent and invisible / Father of Jealousy / Why dost thou hide thyself in clouds / From every searching Eye / Why darkness and obscurity / In all thy words and laws / That none dare earth the fruit but from / The wily serpents jaws / Or is it because Secrecy / Gains females loud applause........By William Blake

Yosemite’s Hope when the whole day is done Police / “Invisible Sun” I don’t want to spend the rest of my life / Looking at the barrel of an Armalite / I don’t want to spend the rest of my days / Keeping out of trouble like the soldiers say / I don’t want to spend my time in hell / Looking at the walls of a prison cell / I don’t ever want to play the part / Of a statistic on a goverment chart There has to be an invisible sun / It gives its heat to everyone / There has to be an invisible sun / That gives us hope when the whole day’s done It’s dark all day, and it glows all night / Factory smoke and acetylene light / I face the day with me head caved in / Looking like something that the cat brought in There has to be an invisible sun / It gives its heat to everyone / There has to be an invisible sun / That gives us hope when the whole day’s done And they’re only going to change this place by / Killing everybody in the human race / And they would kill me for a cigarette / But I don’t even wanna die just yet There has to be an invisible sun / It gives its heat to everyone / There has to be an invisible sun / It gives us hope when the whole day’s done

The writing is on the wall – if you can see it, you can’t read it. I passed this sculpture so many times. You have to. It is made of stainless steel and placed in one of the busiest Wellington streets, in the perfect position to capture the colorful lights of the city after daylight, the nightglow of the capital. The ‘Invisible City’, as it’s called, is the gigantic panel of Braille text that highlights the communication gap between those who can’t see and the rest of us. The post is designed to remember all the folks, my countrymen and yours, the often invisible part of society, all those who finish schools, who work, play music, do sports, pay taxes, have and raise children, to the benefit of us all.

I took this photo on a 42 degree celsius day in Rome. This image really moved me. I like the juxtaposition of the two subjects in the photograph – they obviously come from two completely different cultures. ‘Hard Rock’ has the left side of his body and leg ever so slightly tilted back, as though he may turn to notice the woman he has just walked past, but he continues to walk on.
