Sound of Silence Drawn on the 16-10-08 & 19-10-08 ’’Sound of Silence’‘ Hello darkness, my old friend, / Ive come to talk with you again, / Because a vision softly creeping, / Left its seeds while I was sleeping, / And the vision that was planted in my brain / Still remains / Within the sound of silence. In restless dreams I walked alone / Narrow streets of cobblestone, / neath the halo of a street lamp, / I turned my collar to the cold and damp / When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of / A neon light / That split the night / And touched the sound of silence. What can I say? It masquerades as other things, like self-assessment and humility; and it looks pretty with it’s bright fizzy colors and seemingly earnest energy.
