  • My Dad always said that I should show an appreciation of all music. He said with classical music that the best way of getting to know the music was to imagine characters interacting. With each other and the world that you imagine for them. It doesn’t matter if they are nonsense characters at all. You see the thing is that you get to appreciate and enjoy the music. I see dancing notes when I hear music.

  • The Introduction of New Material

  • Canon Photo5 Competition entry. Subject is Tea Light candle. “I have used the tea light as an introductory piece in conjuction with some larger candles. The tealight has the reflection on the other candles in the form of subtle light and the larger candles are in turn lighting the way in for the tealight to be introduced to the image.” In this image I aimed to capture the soft and subtle feeling of candle and candle light.

  • As I chased around dragonflies near our ponds, this little garter snake surprised me, hanging about in the lily leaves. As we approach the Autumnal Equinox on Tuesday, the snake reminded me of the healing power of the West/Fall manifesting through shedding its skin. A snake does not remove one skin, then vulnerably search out another. The new, pure skin grows beneath the old. What is released is outgrown and useless. If it were not released, it would impair the healthy functioning of the new skin. / The future offers the opportunity for purity and healing through the shedding of skin, as long as you don’t let your new skin grow back to resemble the old… I have been working on the newest installment of Mind Soundtracks for EarthMonster Illustrated and harvesting a bounty of heARTworks found here on RB from my colleagues and the subject matter is along these same lines of releasing the old for new and better change. Hope you check it out for October release and even better, maybe join the group here too – EMI Waiting on the world to change John Mayer
