If anyone out there needs to write something, and wants it to be good, I’ve got a name for you. A couple of weeks ago I suddenly found myself needing to have a brief well-written description of my artwork because I will have a bunch of my work available through an agent. I hate trying to write about myself anyway, and I know most other people feel the same, but writing has always been a huge difficulty for me. I sent a friendly suck-up email to Ted Widen, a cyber friend who I met on ArtWanted and is with us here on RedBubble as “MooseMan”. He’s a writer, as you would be able to tell if you’ve ever read the stories he puts with the pictures he creates, and instantly took the load off me back. I wasn’t even really sure what it was I wanted, or needed, so I gave him the information I had and I soon had his first version. He was wonderful about being adaptable to the changes I asked for as I got a better picture of what I needed the summary to say. Within about three days I had what I needed. He’s an artist with words, if you know what I mean. For $50 I now have the description written as I want it, AND less stress. I thought I would spread the word because he’s prepared to do more of this kind of work and, besides, I thought more people should know we have a writer available. / /

It is also true that, in some instances, trauma, in the shape of early separation or bereavement, has steered the potentially creative person toward developing aspects of his personality, which can find fulfillment in comparative isolation. But this does not mean that solitary, creative pursuits are themselves pathological…. / Avoidance behavior is a response designed to protect the infant from behavioral disorganization. If we transfer this concept to adult life, we can see that an avoidant infant might very well develop into a person whose principal need was to find some kind of meaning and order in life which was not entirely, or even chiefly, dependent upon interpersonal relationships. / Anthony Storr, / Solitude: A Return To Self Response: / I have become active as an individual, creatively, in the latter part of my life. Meaning I am choosing activities and projects that envelope the whole of me; the intellectual as well as the spiritual self. Before pursuing these creative outlets, I can see where my tendencies toward isolation and the inability to make ‘mature personal relationships’ were puzzling for me as well as others. Now, looking back on my life, I can see what Anthony Storr refers to as ‘trauma in the shape of early separation or bereavement’ causing ‘Avoidance behavior’. However the good news is this kind of contrast that life introduced me to early on has indeed allowed me to want to find as he says ‘meaning and order in life which was not entirely, or even chiefly, dependent upon interpersonal relationships.’ I feel the creative self has perhaps an uncomfortable ingredient that does not allow for complacency early on, this ‘ingredient’ is so subtle in the making we sometimes do not come around to it ‘s full intention in this life. Sometimes we ignore our longings toward our higher sense of being and miss the boat altogether. For me, I am here at the last minuet of acceptance in school because I could no longer avoid its call to me. And frankly, I believe this is what keeps me inspired, passionate and young!

These Are Terms of Agreement and If said Addendums like i don’t want this work shared elsewhere period it is stated in ADDENDUM then it will be attached discussed agreement to a e mail and only pursued if agreed upon by both parties. Thus both parties have a contractual agreement and I personally live by my word and I reiterate would always discuss the intention of where work is going with my Collaborator or Artist. The Said Works in Collaboration can be used in other mediums as well per creative artist choice as long as said works are not attached to other collaborative parts without monies being equally shared. IF and Reiterate IF I wanted to take the said COLLABORATION ANY further at all… / All Art Either Word Or Picture in my eyes has equal value in the message per page of content… thus term equally shared is there I have intent of putting together a recovery book this would probably not be huge money maker but my dream is larger than that it is to share the Spirit OF GOD period I also have dreams and hope that someday I will complete writing for a Childrens Novel / Stories and a Book of Romantic Love Poetry. This means that the work is PUBLISHED! 4. I would like to obtain your permission to use your art for further use in future publications, posters, album covers, books, cards, prints, etc. A. I agree that I will contact you the artist, if I do decide to use your work in one of these future publications, and before doing so, intend to obtain your written consent. I will then proceed to organiZe an individual agreement with you based on terms that suits both parties, including recognition of your work and royalties or part payment for your services. B. I agree not to use the art should you not give me your permission. / This is simply to state, that I would like to use your art again in future publications and it would be good to know whether you would be agreeable to this in advance. 5. Consideration and moneys encured shall be duely shared. / based on how the work was used, (i.e. you wont get 50% of book sales if a single work was used in the book). 6. Any problems with these terms? A. Please lets discuss and clarify so that we share a mutual relationship of honor honest respect and trust. Thankyou for FEATURING this image in your GROUP I meet a special woman / photograph/usually talk/take her home with me within my camera…..yes it is always a special moment but once I start working on an image /she as the person leaves my mind and the image becomes as another/ a symbol./ the moment of meeting and photographing still important in the process BUT the image /photograph takes another form in my mind . So now she is a symbol of the modern woman…….torn apart within a selfish world/daily decision making /trying to please everyone/wanting it all/career/children/husband/house/trip……YES I want it all!/but at what sacrifice I wonder!

Aloha Kakou, It is wonderful how the image feed works on RedBubble. / There are beautiful images streaming through the image feed every day. / I love that about it, and I actually seek out images on this site for that very reason, to view and admire them, learn from them, and if I resonate with it and really love the work, I favourite them. It is one of the things I love about this virtual community. If I could redesign the image feed it would stream the favourites of those on my watchlist as well as the recent work from the homepage. Depending on my interest of the day, often I type random keywords into the search browser on this site and discover the most extraordinary beauty. The portfolio collections on this site are a tremendous source of creative inspiration and I am constantly amazed, dazzled and inspired by the many brilliant and talented photographers and artists on this site. Most of my groups are specialised, and I enjoy them all. And like many Hosts on RedBubble, of those groups which I moderate, I have my favourites for the subject and content and Dimensions is on the top of the list.. I know, big surprise considering I live on the beautiful tropical island of Maui and I host the Hawai’i group, yet the lovely islands are included within this group as well as the majestic beauty of Alaska and many other beautiful people and places around the world. I love them all. Dimensions covers such a wide range of content, subjects and styles, it is a multi-faceted international community with many interests. RedBubble describes our groups as little villages and it is so true. I also love the Impressionist Art group. It is wonderfully inspiring. For those of you who have featured my work, and for those who have responded and left wonderful comments and notes, mahalo nui loa, thank you very much. I cherish every single message and will respond as soon as I can. Hopefully you will understand about Time as so much of my free time online is devoted to viewing and featuring your work :)) The images you see in the various galleries and featured in all the groups I host are chosen carefully and featured based on their own individual merit with my compliments to you. For me this is not a popularity contest. I look at the image first and then I view the entire portfolio of the Artist. I am familiar with every single member of all my groups, not on a personal level of course, yet I recognise each one and thank you for joining, mahalo for your enthusiasm, and for contributing your beautiful artistic expressions. There is so much more to moderating and hosting groups than many people realise. I do enjoy it very much. Most of all I enjoy bringing a smile to someone’s day with a feature. That is the fun part. After hosting for a year on this site I have learned so much from all of you! This experience has certainly broadened my scope, opened my heart and widened my horizons. The only things missing are the complimentary Clos du Mesnil and pupu. I wish for you to know I keep all these things in mind for consideration when moderating images. While it is nice to hear from those members I promote, it is not required to receive a feature. There is no personal favouritism. For me it is purely and simply an honest straightforward approach and a sincere appreciation for beautiful Fine Art and the artists who create them.
