Micro, the worlds newest Artificial Intelligence robot designed for the use by people for help and assistance, with fully self sustaining body parts (no need for overly big maintinence) this robot, a long with its special ability to learn things, really brings a new level to the assistance it gives. In some cases the robot has been reported to gain intelligence about its owner, and begin to seek ways to act like them. Time Taken / Sketch: 1-2 hours / Photoshop colouring: 2 hours or so.

The “Old Raven”, as I call him, introduced himself to me during a visit to Bryce Canyon in Southern Utah this past summer. I say old because he looks quite battered and worn if you look closely at the high res image. I think he has a lot of friends as his picture can be found elsewhere on RedBubble, and on the internet. This bird actually communicated with me after performing and posing for a few minutes as he pecked at the ground as if to say “feed me”, and jumped onto my car to remind me that I had some cookies inside. I admit, I broke the rules and “paid” for my pictures… This is a fantastic and intelligent bird and I will be sure to look for him on my next visit to Utah.

2008, Oil on Canvas, 24” x 18” Sheep never have been known to be highly intelligent creatures. Even though this guy is right on track, there’s a surprise sneaking up – sort of. This is a nod to the mayhem that ensued in Iraq when we were “Right on Track,” and had “Mission Accomplished.” Apparently, not only sheep are hard of hearing when there’s a train rumbling up behind them.
