HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany Italy. I’m looking for a good title for this image, this piano hasn’t been played in years. If you can think of a title that jumps out at you, I’d appreciate you posting it for me. Thanks. What do you get when you put my bullet belt, my shecter, me in cheetah stilettos and fishnet and a 10 second timer? you get this motha licker / (haha, old gregg reference) like the common “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” motto, i’ve put my interpritation on it. sex (the fishnets and stilettos) drugs (bullet belt) rock n’ roll (guitar) / now for the whole drugs thing, its a common thing among rock stars to be druggies or alcoholics, and the music scene i’m most into is the punk/ska scene, with one of the trademarks being the bullet belt (and my zebra guitar strap fits in nicely with it)

It is almost a shame that this instument has not been played in years. This is a re-post of my Silent Night image, this one without the black border. I had taken this to work one day, matted and framed and sold three copies of it that day ….. Taken with Nikon D200 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. Since music is such an important part of my life, I decided to make a drawing dedicated to this love. Sadly, I cannot play an instrument myself, but I just love listening to music, as it can make me so happy, or make me feel inspired, or just as something to listen to when I feel sad. This drawing is also inspired by my youngest sister, who recently started to learn how to play the guitar. =) Ink on paper, texture added in Photoshop. I also have a T-shirt of this available here /

Well it was a very strange day shooting. Part of a series. This image was shot using a / mamiya 220 camera (6X6 medium format) and iLford black and white 120 roll film. / The original is hand printed by moi on Ilford Multigrade IV Fiber Based Paper.

This is a remarkable still life on a number of levels; the composition of saxophone, trumpet and paint palette, the lighting from a blue neon sign (reflected in the sax) and the setting sun (window reflection on trumpet bell) and the mastery of that color and light. This Paul Jackson watercolor is one of a series by the artist featuring musical instruments. “Jazz in Blues” won best of show at the Keystone Nation Watercolor Exhibition 2008
