A nice place to sit and relax, On the beach in Kauai, sun, sand, wind, warm water.
The beginning of the Nomad series was born from a recognizing the power of change and majik to effect the decisions we make as people. Including the beginning of a journey that would see me relocate myself and my boys some 25,000 km to be with my now husband Patrick. The rest is now our personal history, Gouache and pva and silver leaf and irridescent powder on canvas.

This was taken outside of Apache Junction, Arizona near Canyon Lake. The red bluffs add such great saturation to the landscape.

This is inspired by my recent move. I have just moved to Brisbane, away from my family and friends in Newcastle. Although so far things are moving slowly to start with, I have enjoyed my time so far. Hopefully I can reach my goals soon :)

A red squirrel appears suddenly, skipping effortlessly across the overhead branches, teaching me that to be natural and spontaneous is the vital key, / as shards of golden sunshine fragmented diffusion on the leaves all around the brilliant phlox and foxgloves, provided a welcome spree to the eye. Just then a dog fox came prowling, sniffing assiduously the downwind breeze. He didn’t even notice me, as I stood stock still against a birch tree / blending into my environment, with no sudden movement or noise. Heaven’s gates opened up for me, while I whispered your name in grace. I am a man who leads from the front, / multi-faceted in my ways, / and when I give my heart away, / you can be sure that destiny has moved / for when I reached the fork in the trail / I heard your voice say …. PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION. Taken in Tunga/Zuga Village. Remote Nigeria. Alfred is an orphan and like many his fight for life will be a brief one, unless we can help. In a world where there is so much food and wealth, millions of orphans are without any help and support. I work in extreme poor remote and isolated villages in Africa and India. I see first hand what it is like for children who have nothing, die in agony, often in the bush.* In my experience as a missionary, its not that the orphan is rejected by the villagers, but that the villagers are struggling to get enough food for their own children. So an orphan that has no living relatives will often die, as others in most cases try their best to provide food and water. Sickness, Malnutrition, Dehydration and other diseases act fast on a weak body. There are few organisations and churches helping, but not in the area where I and Philadelphia Mission, a small underfunded UK Charity work. *My inspiration and great passion to spend the rest of my life in helping these little ones comes from God. Jesus said “Allow the little ones to come to me and prevent them not for I love them. Help me and the small team reach them with the love of God and care for them practically. I appeal to all on RB who see this photo of Alfred to Give, even if its a small amount towards our mission to save lives and care for those in dire need. In times like these, who will step forward and save a precious child from death and suffering? . Together we can help many life Alfred. We are saving lives, but just cannot help the many more like Alfred. We turn many away, knowing they will die alone and in agony. it breaks my heart. Each day I feel the pain, and cry with these forgotten people..I pray through my art, God will speak to you who read this, and that you will sow a financial seed into helping us help them.
