I thought maybe I should First off many thanks goes to BUTCHART who officially became the very first person (and who knows, maybe the last) to apparently have a complete and total lack of judgement and plunk down their hard earned money on a piece of my art. (I think it looks pretty good in card form) Many, many, thanks, and bows, followed by awkward shows of affection which make everyone in the general vicinity quite uncomfortable to BUTCHART You’ll have to let me know how long the shipping time is for someone who lives on the dark side of the moon Second, a big hearty thank-a-roo (which I think might be a kangaroo that is constantly shaking everyones hands, complimenting them on their clothes, and asking if they would like a drink) to STEVE aka CIMMERRIAN for featuring my ZOMBIE SANTA over at his group HUMOROUS ILLUSTRATIONS all of this week. Not only is Steve a hell of a guy, but he’s got a pretty sweet name to boot. (Not that I’m biased or anything.) Much thanks to Steve. Lastly a big thanks to the faceless whoever behind the Redbubble Oz curtain for featuring one of my pieces on the ART page. (I’m down on the bottom row). It’s amazing how many views the work got just by being up there, and the comments everyone left were extremely inspiring, despite the fact that I’m not the least bit deserving. I’ve been a member now for a little less than two weeks and it’s been fun and extremely inspiring at the same time. A big, totally awkward, more than a little bit uncomfortable, make you never want to speak to me again, and possibly call the cops on me to everyone that I’ve met thus far. Okay, I’m done. Now I need to go down to the basement and check on the girl I’ve got starving to death in the giant hole down there. I need to remind her that IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE BASKET! Just saw that I’m a new challenge winner once again / This What Inspires you? challenge hosted by the Prize Challenges!! group is one that speaks volumes to me, and it seems that RB artists took notice of it. / The winning image Arlington West 2007, Santa Barbara, California portrays an ongoin display of the casualties in Iraq on East Beach in Santa Barbara, to protest against the war in Iraq, and increase the public awareness regarding the military and political fallout of staying there. Each Sunday morning thousands of crosses, as the number of the fallen, for that day, are placed in the sand and volunteers are providing the public with up to the moment information on casualties plus individual stories on the fallen. This image was taken at memorial day 2007 as a tribute and memorial and as a cry for peace… Yes, I am inspired by dedicated people and their efforts to restore peace and humanity back… Thank you all for your support, votes and appreciation, and to the Prize Challenges!! group hosts for this wonderful challenge . It means a lot to me.

Hi Everyone, I’m back from a wonderful warm holiday in Bali where I shared a great time with my partner and friends. The people there…
Hi Everyone, I’m back from a wonderful warm holiday in Bali where I shared a great time with my partner and friends. The people there are just fabulous and we ate some of the most amazing restaurants so I am full of inspiration. (Yes – food inspires me, among other things too of course.) While I was away I received numerous comments on many of my paintings for which I thank you. I do apologise that I don’t respond to each comment but I feel my time is better used viewing your work and commenting on that instead. A year ago I was addicted to Redbubble and wasted much time commenting and replying and the result was that I was not putting the time and effort at the easel – end result being that my work was in my opinion stagnating and as an artist I was not developing at the pace I expect of myself. Since being back from holiday I have ‘belted’ out a few pieces and completed work that has been lying about unfinished. They will be posted soon. I hope you are all well and once again would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your support and feedback. I would also like to thank Francis for Featuring Captivated painted by Reynaldo (inspired by my drawing Enchanted) in the !Inspired Art! Group on the 7-9-09.
