WALKING MEDITATION Take my hand. / We will walk. / We will only walk. / We will enjoy our walk / without thinking of arriving anywhere. / Walk peacefully. / Walk happily. / Our walk is a peace walk. / Our walk is a happiness walk. Then we learn / that there is no peace walk; / that peace is the walk; / that there is no happiness walk; / that happiness is the walk. / We walk for ourselves. / We walk for everyone / always hand in hand. Walk and touch peace every moment. / Walk and touch happiness every moment. / Each step brings a fresh breeze. / Each step makes a flower bloom under our feet. / Kiss the Earth with your feet. / Print on Earth your love and happiness. Earth will be safe / when we feel in us enough safety. / - Thich Nhat Hanh -

The underlying law of Creation is RHYTHMIC BALANCED INTERCHANGE in all transactions in Nature. It is the one principle upon which the continuity of the universe depends. Likewise, it is the one principle upon which the continuity of man’s transactions, his health and happiness depend. It is the manifestation of God’s two opposing desires in all processes of creation….Balance is the principle of unity, of oneness. In it is the stability, which lies in CAUSE. I shot this image on November 2, 2008 right after our first rain in many months…..the roses seemed almost jubilent and full of life after the torrential and much welcomed downpour…...the sun was just peaking through the clouds for a short time, and the glow was made in heaven….......I hope you see the beauty and feel the peace just as I….... / / This image is copyright protected and registered.MCN:CooBF-008E9-42CBA / ___ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. The summer of 1969 was a time of change. It was the year of the Beatles swansong, the first manned moon landing, and hippies protested and clashed with the establishment over U.S. involvement in Vietnam. On a dairy farm in the town of Bethel in upper state New York, the greatest musical and cultural event of the millenium happened. The Woodstock Music & Arts Fair, billed as an Aquarian Exposition, was held during the weekend of August 15th through the 17th. Starring thirty top names in popular entertainment, the Woodstock Festival’s attendance was unprecedented for the time / Attendance estimates vary from source to source, ranging anywhere from about 75,000 on the low side, to well over 1,500,000 on the high side. The best guess, which is close to the average of all estimates, would be between a third to a half million people. It’s impossible to determine exact numbers, as the fences around the site were never completed in time, so tickets were never taken – it was a free concert. / For “three days of peace & music” Woodstock was a living, breathing, working city. In the last great multi-day music festival of our time, the young people showed the world that all those hippies could co-exist for a prolonged period of time without a catastrophe (and with little or no police intervention). / THE ARTISTS that made history… / Richie Havens / Sweetwater / Bert Sommer / Tim Hardin / Ravi Shankar / Melanie / Arlo Guthrie / Joan Baez / Quill / Country Joe McDonald / John B. Sebastian / Keef Hartley Band / SANTANA / Incredible String Band / Canned Heat / Grateful Dead / Creedance Clearwater Revival / Janis Joplin / Sly & the Family Stone / The WHO / Jefferson Airplane / Joe Cocker / Country Joe & the Fish / Leslie West/Mountain / Ten Years After / The Band / Johnny Winter / Blood, Sweat & Tears / Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young / Paul Butterfield Blues Band / Sha Na Na / Jimi Hendrix / Joni Mitchell As we approach the 40th Anniversary of the “Summer of 1969”, I thought it fitting to Launch a special challenge for our Musically Inspired Artists of MIA ~ the reason for this artwork… / Created with Wacom Pen in Photoshop with the exception of the original Woodstock poster in the center, using Redfield plug-in Fractilius filter, Poster edges and saturation filtering.
