The wonderful Peter Kurdulija presented an absolutely stunning image of tranquility and beauty with the ancient reminder of man’s everlasting search for Wisdom Lost I hope he didn’t mind me expanding on his words [the first 2 lines] / but I feel there is no trade off of wisdom and success / the trade off is wisdom for material affluence / Even the poorest of people are successful in their living – possibly more so for surviving under greater odds! and for all their wealth and power at the end of the day a rich w’man still becomes dust and only loved ones honour the memory of their life … if s’he warranted that love.

Love This Moment is a poem I wrote in the middle of 2007, largely inspired by what I learnt by the life and death of one of my best friends, Greg, in March 2006. Namely, the importance of being happy now, and of being true to your heart and soul (and what it is you really want in your life). I then put it together with my photography into a slideshow (which you can view at www.lovethismoment.com) After getting a great response from the slideshow, my Mum mentioned she wished it was in a form she could hold in her hands, so I made some photo books for family and friends for Christmas 2007. After an even greater response, I looked at the photo book and thought, “I’d like to do this for real.” It reminded me I’d always wanted to be a writer. So in February 2008 I started looking into publishing. I decided to self-publish, and on December 16, 2008, after much learning and much effort, I received a shipment of 2,156 copies of Love This Moment…just 6 hours before my book launch! Now the real work has started as I look for distribution and other ways to get my book “out there”. It’s exciting!! / / I really believe in the message of Love This Moment. When I get out of balance, when I’m feeling sad or anxious because I’m caught in the past or worrying about the future, I read it and it reminds me what’s really important in life – those things I learned through the pain of Greg dieing and the gratitude I hold that he was part of my life and has given me so much. Just today I had a lady come into work, read Love This Moment and cry (in a good way!) It reminds me why I want to share it with everyone I can. If Love This Moment resonates with you, you can find it at www.lisafrost.com.au. The book also contains the story that inspired the poem, which for some is more inspiring than the poem itself. With love, / Lisa

We all have searched for our perfect soul mate and while the path seems sometimes filled with disappointments, we need to maintain the positive belief that regardless of the hardships, if we continue to strive we will succeed in the end. The first step is to ask in great detail what we are searching for, the second is to believe with all your heart you will meet, then anchor that belief with gratitude for you and your soul mate being brought together. Time is not the issue, the power of your belief is!
When you tenderly kiss your soul’s true mate, fill it with the heart’s full love, holding nothing back, treat each moment as the precious…
So often children are brought up without a set of guidelines that they can follow to give them a sense of confidence and pride that they are walking a path in life that is beyond reproach. I hope these principles I try to follow can help give people a sense of who I am and what I believe in. If some of them can assist you in your path, then I am pleased to be able to share.
My lifetime search of this vast world for my destined soul’s true mate, / Has it led me to meet you….is it truly just fate?
Have you ever walked down a street, or entered into a crowded room and in a blink of an eye felt drawn to a person. It is not jsut as if you have known a person, it is as if you have known each other for a lifetime. Many say that the search for a perfect soul mate is a flight of fancy destined to failure. I contest that these people have not had the fortitude to continue searching until they met that one person that gave their lives meaning and made them feel whole. Is it worth that search? Only you can answer that.
When we are together time stops in a flow of eternal kisses, from the wings of angels gracefully floating down from the heavens, gently u…
Is it just me or does it seem that our society is made up of people performing their tasks with a mindset of just getting by? Where is the passion and pride of performing something to the best of your ability? When a person has unrestrained passion it is said that miracles can descend from the heavens to meet the high standard set. Are you living life just to get by? Lift yourself up to a new standard that others strive to achieve, be that shining example of excellence that becomes the stuff of legend.
This is the time you can be you, and only you can be you.

This poem is Based on and inspired by the painting Healing Old Wounds By MARIAM MURADIAN. Acrylic and oil pastels on canvas. Dear RedBubble Artist, if I may note: Please be inspire by all that RedBubble gives you. And I Ask: If so –Say so. How hard is it to be grateful aloud. The soul of an artist is frail, maybe even too much so in some misunderstanding instances. But, at least if a writer inspires a visual artist, or the opposite of this happens, or any other cross medium translation of artistic expression, I am sure no damage will be done or interpreted as so. If only the truth be told. The honour is a shared one! For me, the mentioning of (and public acknowledgements of) your art as the source is the most important part of this process. For this involves the most sacred and tender art forms I know of –Honesty. Trust. And Respect. I will soon post a Journal entry by this name to tell the story of Amanda Joy’s brush with plagiarism. And my ever-humbling experience in this tale of online support between artist. So now that I have shoved my preverbile esthetic foot down my throat, I’d might well risk a little fantacty of mine. If I were a painter I’d let some of the lines in this poem inspire me to create, shoot, draw, or paint the soul emotions of my impacted interpretation of them. I am actually not asking you to do so! I would only want to welcome it, and from here let the drive be born naturally by you. The excerpt of the poem ‘PAIN’S Might … oh the tender soul of it all’ are my dream lines. Lo, I am a word man. And quite happy to let the beautiful your soul inspiring images of your visual medium move me to pen a poetic gift born of it. But who knows what will move me next. A journal entry inspired one. It is the mention, the true thanks that matters. Art born of art, born of art, baby, this can be fun work. The energy matters. Just think; Your great grandmother was a comment. One hundred years there is you. Mariam Muradian’s painting is perhaps the 8th one to move me so. Yet, it is the first by an artist I have created with before. As a poet, I have often said, “I am a painter of words”. When I speak to an audience about being a poet I most often say, “It is the job of a poet is to say the unsaid, that which seems impossible to say, the thoughts we all feel but for whatever the reason (Fear, security, doubt, a lack of confidence) we do not”. Poetry is in the end a medium of art. Here at RedBubble I have entered a new realm of influence. You art, images, comments, support, the mature beauty of this community is a rare find for me. Here I have risked my fears of exposure faster than I can say I have any. I am so grateful to all of you who have and will inspire me to create. Gratefully yours, / C.C.
