  • I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

  • views: 3424 / favs: 52 Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. • In modern English, the term ghost ship has come to stand for at least one of three separate definitions, all of which involving unexplained circumstances. Historically, the term has been used to refer to reported sightings of apparitions over water that have appeared in the form of maritime sailing ships, often after having previously been known to have sunk, or to derelict vessels found floating with no crew. In fiction, ghost ships have often been vessels crewed by some manner of spectral beings. Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behavior around the time of a full moon. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) Many neopagans hold a monthly ritual called an Esbat at each full moon, while some people practicing traditional Chinese religions prepare their ritual offerings to their ancestors and deities on every full and new moon

  • Mindscape is a mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. The word is most suitable to the filed of psychology. Mindscape has two words combined in such a way that the meaning goes beyond it – Mind and Escape… It can be translated as a Mind that wants to escape or a Mind that is in route of escaping. This adventure can be in the sense of reality or in spiritual world. / Depression sufferers escape from facts, hallucinates escape from reality, psychotics and neurotics escape from many other forms of life. We usually state that they are people who require help so that they can live an ordinary life. But who is to decide what is normal and what is abnormal? If ones can see the other side of horizon, according to them they deem the facts strongly that they hold about life, oneself and reality. They believe they are the right ones who are amongst wrong people. Are you one of them? I tend to assume we all are, one way or another. • This is my favorite photo. My son was in his room going though his things and brought out his (old) new testiment Bible. I noticed he had been folding some of the pages and thought that it would be need to see if I could make a heart with it. He then spoted the flowers I was photographing and started the “she loves me she loves me not” pedal pulling game and a few landed on the pages. I love the effect. I hope you all like it as much as I do. I also feel that this has a double meaning. The Bible was written with love and to be able to depict that with a photograph of a heart with the Bible is just awe inspiring to me. starting 2/28/09 all proceeds will be donated to American Cancer society. / / Sold as card 9/7/08 / Sold as card 10/20/08 / Sold as card 01/12/09 / Sold as card 2/13/09 / Sold as laminate print 2/15/09 unknown buyer taken with Nikon D80 18-55mm Macro lense 55mm length f/5 iso 100 1/60 Featured on homepage art 9/07/08 / A glimps of this photo can be see on the Australian Morning New’s here they start talking about redbubble at the 5 min mark and my photo can be seen at 6:47 mark lower left of the screen in the corner. • 1433 views as of Nov. 10, 2009 Challenge Winner – Birds in Flight, #12 Great Features Group There aren’t many things that bring me more joy than the companionship of the Black-Capped Chickadees that inhabit the woods behind our home. They visit us daily, and follow me along the trail whenever I go for a walk. I could be 3 property lines over and they will still follow me! It is not unusual for them to land on the end of my camera lens as I’m trying to frame a photo, or flutter around my legs, looking for their sunflower seeds. These little songbirds bring me more joy than I can ever truly express. What a gift they are! I would be filled with great sadness if they ever disappeared. They are a huge part of my passion for nature & wildlife photography and for capturing the beauty that surrounds us everywhere. This image was created by merging 2 of my chickadee in flight photos and then blending the sky together. • “DARE TO BE DIFFERENT” makes the perfect gift for the independent individual in your life. Could that be you? The image features a photograph of a real White Raven (also known as a “Spirit Raven” by local Haida people) born in May, 2008 on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. He is one of two rare white and 3 black Ravens born to 2 accepting (black) parents. The two rare birds are not albino which is what makes them so unusual. Their eyes are quite blue. All 5 siblings are getting along extremely well and all are thriving. White Ravens are very rare and hold sacred meaning for many groups and cultures throughout the World, including Native American Indian, Celtic, Norse and Wiccans. This artwork is another tribute to these remarkably intelligent and friendly birds. 50% proceeds from all sales go to the Mountainaire Avian Society in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. • When I first spotted Jódís Eiríksdóttir’s “A Little Planet” in the buyer’s booth I was mezmerised. I’d never seen anything quite like it. A little further investigation revealed that what I was staring at was a polar panorama. My next thought was “how did she do it?” I’ve managed to hunt down the following resources for those who would like to give it a try but you can find more online by searching “Polar Panorama Tutorial”. Basic ingredients include a digital camera to shoot your panorama and PhotoShop or Gimp to work the magic. If anyone’s had more experience making these then we’d love to see a tutorial or hear your hints and tips!
