The colors are stunning and caught my eye.
Photo montage composed in photoshop. The ‘water’ is from a closeup of textured glass, messed with alot with perspective and other tools. When i did it, i hadn’t discovered the liquify tool yet (i think i was using p’shop 7), and i would love to revisit this one and play with the water more – but my computer was stolen earlier this year (from a repair shop) , and i lost most of my un-flattened PSD files. I was lucky to have the print-ready files backed up….. a curse on the thieves.
I visited this flower from dawn till about 11 am waiting for it to fully open, and here it is. I was moved by its proud structure, glorious colours, and the interest it generated in the visiting tropical insect population. Taken at the Evason Resort and Spa, Phuket, Thailand.

Okay this piece was inspired by UmbraDeNoatpe-stock at http://umbradenoapte-stock.deviantart.com/art/Stock-23-83970696 . Its a brilliant puddle that jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. I closed my eyes and took this mental picture you see now… I just had to get it into photoshop and turn it into a dream. The title says it all. It took me around 4 days to finish it but I think the florals, colours, light and dark, and finally magic really give that digital fantasy feel all within a puddle. Most of you know I went to Colorado recently… I’m still reviewing and editing the pictures. What surprised me in this shot, while editing in PS… I noticed mosquitos. There were SO many at this lake, it was driving us nuts. I can’t recall if we had bug spray before Steamboat Lake, or if we bought it afterwards. Anyway, I have some bird shots at this area, and you can see clearly the mosquitos around this bird (I will upload him later)... The bird was actually snapping and eating the flying blood suckers, it was amazing to witness. Look at larger view, and you’ll notice some blood suckers. =) Images copyright ©Kimberly Palmer / Copying, displaying, manipulating or redistribution of any image from this portfolio without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited

Did you ever play that game with a Daisy? You pull off each petal and rotate the words until you are left with one petal, and depending on what verse is the next one to use will determine whether your love, loves you or not!

Now nearly all those I loved and did not understand when I was young are dead, but I still reach out to them…...........Of course, now I am too old to be much of a fisherman, and now of course I usually fish the big waters alone, although some friends think I shouldn’t. Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. ~ Norman Fitzroy Maclean “A River Runs Through It”
