And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? -Shakespeare Every year sealers bludgeon seals with clubs and “hakapiks” (clubs with a metal hook on the end), drag conscious seals across the ice floes with boat hooks, and toss dead and dying animals into heaps and leave their carcasses to rot because there is no market for their meat. Seals are also shot, but bludgeoning is preferred, because pelt buyers deduct money for every bullet hole in a seal’s skin. Veterinarians who studied a past hunt concluded that the hunters failed to comply with Canada’s basic animal welfare standards and that 42 percent of the seals appeared to have been skinned alive. Despite Canada’s ‘new and improved’ methods being implemented this year, sealers are still slaughtering these pups in the same way they have for previous years. It’s unconscionable. Taken from my Art Work on Canvas & then played with in photoshop. Its a series of paintings that will be on sale at the FAT BOYS CAFE 132 brunswick st the valley. Open night is the 31st July at 6:30! about the painting, a little inside to my childhood that wasnt always so full of innocence as it should of been. Tin Tin made me happy in some dark times.

Baggie: Baggies, made by Pactiv Corporation, were the first brand of food storage bags. Originally designed as Twist-tie-sealed bags and more commonly found now as the zip lock type. Generally used to keep food fresh, but they are now often associated with the supply of marijuana. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— This isn’t one of the designs i was going to upload from my hard drives depths, but rather one i whipped up tonight while listening to the Schapelle Corby doco on in the background while i was supposed to be working. This story has driven me a bit crazy. At the end of the day i have no idea if she did it or not… but i am sure as hell that the media will do anything to get a story. Kinda reminds me of the circus around the Azaria Chamberlain disappearance i remember as a child. Does anyone care about facts, proof or innocent until proven guilty anymore? The whole thing is absurd…and hence the title and image here.
