  • Silhouetted trees against light of moon rising over Milquhanzie hill, Monzie. All hail Purkinje.

  • Inky Jane and Jemima write their scary stories in the sky. / Cute little ghosts for Halloween. / Or for the library corner. / Or for a children’s writing room

  • Not everyone likes to dress up on halloween. But then you run the risk of not being recognised as the person who did all the hard work to organise the party. / This shirt is the solution. / You can wear it and be “Inky Jane – Party Planner” without having to wear all that heavy makeup!

  • Cog completely agreed with Inky that there was absolutely no need to see who it was.

  • Even ‘though Incognita completely agreed with Inky that patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels… she just COULDN’T make herself nationalistic. “Oh well” she decided, “I’ll probably find some other way to cause trouble…”

  • An unordinary nightset!

  • This one is a little different to my other work, let me know your thoughts… A late evening sunset shot of Brixham Harbour in South devon, converted to mono from an original colour digital file. View the rest of our portfolio here Or visit our own website here

  • This is my daughter`s dog Inkie and she is 12 years old

  • First Photo in Series I love how in winter all the trees remind me of ink dripping running down the horizon. This image is un-altered, shot on film at a park in Fitzroy. Location: Melbourne, Australia

  • Second Photo in Series I love how in winter all the trees remind me of ink dripping running down the horizon. This image is un-altered, shot on film at a park in Fitzroy. Location: Melbourne, Australia

  • my inky mouth

Right down the length of your shuddering spine

Sometimes the muse just wants to play with you. You should always let her. Otherwise she gets cranky; and that ain’t pretty.

  • Best Viewed Large.

  • The zebra.

  • ....the spore of the Inky Cap mushrooms….Corprinus comatus

  • With gentle breath an inky love song / Serenades the moonless sky. / And when the final verse is sung / The earth responds with tender sigh.

  • This was a parody of an advertisement for the Canadian forces. I loosely copied a photo of three figures parachuting out the back of a plane. I like doing these drawings extra chunky and wonky to kind of abstract the figures a little. It makes your imagination have to work harder to figure out what the picture actually is. /

  • Tried to use a light cheerful colour combination that I thought one might see in a cold northern country. / Drawn with an inky pen on absorbent sketch paper, then converted to digital media and coloured. / My Bubblesite.

  • Fly-fishing in Jackson Hole is always better with a best pal right at your side; the forget-me-nots are a bonus! Canon S3-IS. Grand Teton National Park (leashes required).

  • My favorite ‘easy’ place to find fungi and mushrooms is in a huge wood chip pile out on the edge of a forest with a creek running below. / These are a variety of Coprinis mushrooms, possibly the ‘Japanese Umbrella’ one. / Early morning is best for catching this family of mushrooms as by afternoon many have ‘inked’ away to nothing or just a stem with some goo.

  • One of my favorite mushrooms has arrived…hopefully to last a few more days then what it actually looks like will happen. / We got a really good rainshower a few days ago…so was hoping mushrooms would start showing their wonderful heads…and FINALLY…my Shaggy Manes did. Hanging out here with purple Asters and some fallen oak leaves, these are in the ‘season’ here in NE Kansas. / They are from the fastest deteriorating mushroom family, the Coprinus, so you have to go and look as soon as you can as they may not be there an hour later. / Even though this one is not longer edible, I still find it just dramatically GORGEOUS! / It does help, though, that I love eating this species when it’s fresh!

  • Real ink and inkwells …............where did they go
