  • vector graphic created from a pen and ink drawing. Was really inspired by seeing street art and stencil art around Melbourne’s alleyways. Somehow it got into my blood and this illustration came out when playing around one day. Copyright Celia Coulter 2007

Another of my faceless Black Biro drawings. Developed a liking for these

  • I did this ink drawing back in 1992 for fun after I learned a time consuming process of simply making ink dots while in my Graphic Arts class. I loved the outcome of this so much that I had it framed. I happened to see it a few days ago and decided to photograph it—to share with all of you. A mistress is a man’s long term sexual partner and companion. Historically, the term has denoted a kept woman who is maintained in a comfortable (or even lavish) lifestyle by a wealthy man so that she will be available for his sexual pleasure; essentially a kind of highly expensive, single-client prostitute. Today however, it is used primarily to refer to the companion of a man who is married to another woman; in the case of an unmarried man it is usual to speak of a girlfriend or partner. The relationship is generally stable and at least semi-permanent; however, the couple do not live together openly. Historically a man kept a mistress. As the term implies, he was responsible for her debts and provided for her in much the same way as he did his wife. In more recent and emancipated times, it is more likely that the mistress has a job of her own, and is less, if at all, financially dependent on the man. It is not uncommon for a man to have acknowledged children by his mistress.

  • This is a piece that I did for the / THE DIVINE FEMININE / Warriors, Demons, and Whores Challenge. She is – Morgan (Morrigan): Celtic; Goddess of War and Magic. In some ancient stories “The Dark Green Goddess from the Emerald Isle” is mated with the Merlin,
in others she is the Lady of the Lake, and in many versions she is the sister of Arthur. Morgan has her good side but is mostly known for her deep dark shadow side. She was said to be a shape-changer who could turn from ravishing beauty to hag, to crow. She reportedly also knew how to utilize the full spectrum of Earths Energy for good or bad. I was inspired by the artwork here on RedBubble of: AlexandraG, AmandaGWright, artistmind, Reynaldo and more to be loose and expressive with my line work and color. With this piece I think that I made that next step. 10×8 IN. Ink, Pencil, and Chalk Pastel on Watercolor paper.

  • Black Ink, Graphite, Coloured Pencil & Pastel on A5 110 gsm cartridge This began as a sketch on the Palm Beach ferry… on a near perfect sunny day. It follows on from Girl & The Sea, continuing to explore my love of the ocean & the peace & serenity it brings. The title, Caught A Light Breeze, comes from one of my favourite songs ever… music soothes the soul, just as much the ocean sometimes.

  • Seeing artworks sometimes don’t fit the standard bubblecard size (114×162mm), I’m cropping a couple of my images to fit. I’m not taking down the original version, though. Featured in Colour me a Rainbow (Colour brown).

  • BEAUTIFUL ASIA SERIES Pen and Ink ORIGINAL SOLD 2009 This drawing was inspired by a photograph of Alexandra Felgate. Kindly used with permission as part of the Bubblers portraits group. / I did not try for a true likeness this time, but rather an essence I hope (hence the title). It seemed appropriate to use as part of my Asian series as Alexandra’s detailed and delicate paintings/drawings always remind me of Japanese Art. I hope to use the reference picture again. Alexandra’s Photo Alexandra’s Gallery Thank you so much to Alexandra Felgate for posting this photo of Essence (the original). Hugs xx /
